Just updated my chart to £64,500!

I have decided to lump in my ISA cash with the offset amount. This puts us nicely ahead of our target, but payments may slow down soon...

We are also expecting a baby in 2013! :)

Hopefully, we can still achieve our total target :A
    November 2016: Mortgage = £185,000

    Hi

    Just posted my chart update.

Coming in with £124,983 definitely green this time but it includes a £20k endowment payout so the rest of the challenge will be small & steady amounts from here.

No more overpayments this year as I am saving for a Florida holiday so it will just be my normal balance reduction of approx £480 a month from the planned monthly mortgage payments.

I am a bit of a lurker but love reading all of your diaries for inspiration - Thank you all

#50 just sent my chart update in (missed the last one due to forgetfulness!). My balance is now £37,199. When I started doing OPs seriously my balance was £90k, so it is amazing to see it come down so quickly.

If I meet my MFiT challenge (to clear mortage by 12-12-15) I will have cut 11 years off the original 25 year term of my mortgage.......wow! I don't think I would have stuck with it if it were not for the support of the challenges, so well done everyone!
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

Just posted my update I cannot believe how much things have changed for me since January of this year.

I took voluntary redundancy in February worked out my notice and a bit more and started new job Mid April (no gap).

It was very had to wave goodbye to a £37k p.a salary and a free company car to still working full time but on £22.5k p.a and no car.

Still I absolutely love it and I am so sure this was the right things for me. I have moved into management to a step up although moneywise clearly a step down. I did get £15k redundancy money and bought a car on low finance so still have most of it. I might have to spend some of it on holidays etc as my new monthly income is £400 less than it used to be and I now have car costs too.

My goal was to increase my savings from £12k to £30 during this challenge and that is still doable but I will only count long term savings for this so today that totals £19,232 look forward to see what % increase that is.

I used to waste so much money and never really consider what I spent but now every penny count although I do want to travel to see family and friends as well as treat my family. Just been on a trip to Denmark and plan to see a friend Oman next year. I am still saving £300 a month via 1st Direct and also put £50 pm into a S & S ISA. I got the £100 Quidco cash back so thought it worth a punt.

My redundancy money has partly been lent to DH to complete his 12/13 ISA and the rest is sitting in a 123current account.

I look forward to seeing the new chart and hope to start a new diary soon. Off to do some gardening before golfing this morning.

Hope it lovely and sunny where every you are.

I've not been posting recently (just life in general) but have been reading when I get chance. Think it's time to resurrect my diary to keep my motivation going
