So, we tried our local Aldi and was quite impressed. Yes, not the range of the big supermarkets per se but more than enough and the prices on most things were really good. Their "similar brands" range is good and much cheaper. The speedy checkouts was an experience but makes good sense. Shall use Aldi much more often from now on. :-)0 -
Damn ended up getting a "25% off all food" at Bella Italia and used it yesterday. The bill still came to £36.50 for the two of us!!! Only went into town to get my freely repaired glasses... was going to do a home roast for less than a tenner!! Remind myself not to do this again....
You need to treat yourself sometimes ! I also do that, spend money unnecessarily and then I feel guilty afterwards, but we need a treat occasionally. Whewww, have just braved the rain to leg it to my bank to make my overpayment. Now all I need is my statement after month-end so that I can submit the correct amount. I am definitely on target for this quarter - very pleased.

60 hour weeks? That's the low end of my norm. My peak has been 110..116 hours a week for a month. Hooray for the world of software development, I feel your pain.0

I've just send my update for the next chart.
All the money we are saving right now is going into building works for the ground floor. Just another 15000 Euro to go. :eek:I wish Germany had a website like moneysavingexpert!0
