Hi everyone,
Our plans to pay a big lump off this quarter are delayed once again, so our schedule will remain red when the second quarter results are in.
We are still working towards our target but we have just had to pay the builder £4500 for the new roof on the extension and the groundworks to extend a veranda. Then the new workshop needed a concrete base and the mains drain from the kitchen had to be dug out and replaced. So it's all going very well really...
Good to hear others' progress, makes us feel part of the gang, even if the repayments remain pathetically small. Hopefully we can pay off a lump before Q3 ends as we are hoping for a lump of money to be realised.
Well done FB - don't worry if bits drop off - your health and family are more important than this old thread! Personally speaking, the competeive "lick the motorway" style posts don't add much in the way of support though...
Take care

I'm still waiting on the remortgage to complete, so for now i'm still reporting the old one. Latest update is £180,925 - so a reduction of £5,444 since the start of the challenge.
I'm a touch behind the curve now as i've missed one planned OP to pay remortgage fees, but that's nothing compared to what's coming as i'll likely be worse than I started the challenge come update 3 due to early repayment fees on the remortgage. Over the course of a couple of years the remortgage makes perfect sense, but catching up to where I want to be in MFiT-T3 will be a challenge0 -
Hello, I've sent my update for 6th June by sending today's total + interest for next 4 days

I feel we may be miles behind in this challenge.....
I have just found out I am pregnant and whilst it is in its earliest stages I feel money will be saved elsewhere for our bean.
We will keep trying though.......3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Well my plans appear to be going awry this month and probably for a few more after that.
We need lots of building repairs and these repairs are going to cost loads of £s.
So we're using some of the overpayments we've made on the mortgage as it's the cheapest form of borrowing for us.
Our mortgage may appear to go up instead of down for a few months. Hoping to be back on track next year.
We're treating this 'borrowing' as a short term loan and hope to be in a better position at the end of it. If that makes sense.
At least one of the quotes has come in at £250 under budget to what we were expecting.
