    Hi all

Thanks to everyone who has taken this on board and helping since FB. I haven't been the best for updating but have just sent my update in now as I know where I will be and as I will be otherwise engaged on the final update day.

Just incase you don't have access to the updates #75will be at 32407.49

Not quite where I wanted to be but still managed to pay off a little more than minimum payments.

Looking forward to the next challenge.

    Regards
    666. :j:beer:

Yay! This one has been a great long-term motivation for me, just crunching the numbers and my last update will be an outstanding mortgage of £135,222

    It's actually a little better than that, £134,986 :D
  • Wow where does the time go : how things can change so quickly! I'm just going through doing a few inputs so first, queries.

Suzanne I have taken your reported update as for chart 11 (as declared in the update form) if you meant it to be for the final, chart 12, please could you put another form through.

Lomcevak no update form from yourself yet?

Kerfuffle I've taken your balance for chart 12 to be £66,000 please can you confirm.

Please can people report their balances not the reduction as the spreadsheet works that out otherwise it gets confusing & I want to make sure its right first time as far as possible :)

Things do change so quick, I had hoped I'd be looking at getting another mortgage early next year once I'd paid this one off to join you all from early on in T4 but the persistence in my markets downturn has meant we are cutting hours for 3 months at work so I think that will be on hold for a little while so I may now do a savings increase instead or just cheer you lot on :) I had slightly scaled back my over payments in the last month or 2 anyway due to increased bills but am still happy with where I'm at and anticipate clearing this mortgage in March/April 2016

I've just submitted my December update (I hope I selected the correct chart update but I can't remember now if I did or not - apologies if I didn't!). Our goal was to reduce our mortgage by £8,000 by the end of this year and, with overpayments, we've actually reduced it by £10,065.26, which I'm quite happy with!

We're in the process of remortgaging early to take advantage of the lower rates (as mentioned in previous posts). We thought we were going to purchase a BTL property from father in law but that's been postponed by 2 years (something I'm generally happy about as it gives us more time to save and also reduce our existing mortgage amount). With the new mortgage our minimum monthly payments will reduce by more than £70 a month, but we'll continue paying the same monthly amount as we do now to faster reduce our existing mortgage debt.

Just completed my last update doc. My last two months were supposed to include major payments but two other major purchases had to take place and my new spectacles took care of the rest of my planned overpayments. So here I am, having just made my target.

I suppose it means I am really good at profiling my expenditure though!

Roll on Challenge 4 - the discipline it brings is marvellous and has kept me on track! A big thank you to first FB and now Trix for keeping it going.

Well done everyone - whether you hit your target or not
