I assume it comes out of general taxation...
We all pay VAT etc so we all pay towards the grant rich or poor.0 -

Yeah my cavity wall insulation was subsidised too by £150 which was paid through my council tax.
Following your logic it is likely all these subsidised cavity wall and perhaps loft insulation grants brought about the bedroom tax for skint councils?
Nothing in life is properly funded esp. my public sector pension0 -

I wish I could afford a new car but hey ho a new bike will have to do instead. More fun anyway
When the old railway line past my house gets surfaced I'd love an electric bike to zoom into work, that would be cool0 -
I'm incandescent with Rage!
I am subsidising poor people's FiT payments!!
I wasn't able to get Solar panels for my Grade 1 listed mansion (frightful looking things anyway) but I nearly choked on my foie gras to discover I am paying poor people to have them! Luckily my man servant was on hand to help me.
This is Simply outrageous!0 -

Electric bikes are great for those people who cannot ride a mechanical bike for one reason or another - such as large hills, poorer health, etc. but who still want to get out and about in the fresh air.
I really like the look of these bikes: http://a2b.ultramotor.com/en/a2b_hybrid_26
A bit space-age looking, very cool.0 -

It's 18 miles each way for me to cycle to work
The thought of jumping on an electric bike right beside my house then zooming down a prefectly flat straight path straight to the city would be fab.
Due to the way the roads work I have to drive half at present
Great looking bike0
