    Mortgage-free Glee!
Gosh, September 1st already...this year has flown by!
I guess all my goals revolve around procrastination really, whether losing weight, decluttering, paperwork or dealing with the fabric stash - so from today I will decide on what jobs are to be done daily...and do them!!!
My to-do lists are legion - but items carried forward are almost the same!
    Today I will:
menu-plan for the week ( links to weightloss!!)
write the minutes up that have been kicking around far too long
    clear and tidy one drawer.
There, I've said it. No one fails their resolutions on Day 1, so...
    have a good day, everyone!
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!
  • Bathroom done:j and hoovered upstairs (except the front bedroom where the cat was hiding) and dusted lounge. :D Still have hubby's shirt to iron and a little bit more tidying but so far so good. Think I will check the flylady thread out later to get a proper housework routine in order. Especially as were on holiday the end of the month and have neighbours popping in to feed the cat so the house has to be immaculate. :)
    MFW 142- Oct 1999 £55,0000, Jul 2013 £27,593.17 Oct 2013 £26,531, Dec 2014 £22,600, Dec 2015 £20,190, Jan 2016 £19,944.19 Mar 2017 £16,944.76 Decluttered 207/2018
    Smile it confuses people :)
  • Mornin' all

There's a definite theme here of weight loss, decluttering and procrastination!!

Don't think I've done anything on my list yet apart from not have a chocolate biscuit this morning - small things and all that!

    Have a good day!

Can I join too? I also need to lose weight (one stone), get into a better
cleaning routine, declutter and spend more quality time with the family (instead
of stressing about the state of the house and not actually doing anything about
the mess or actually spending fun time with the kids). Procrastination is a big
    problem for me!

Ditto! Can I join in too?
I start an OU course in October so I have set September aside for sorting out the house and doing the painting we meant to do when we moved in.
I need to sort routines so I can juggle studying with kdis and hosuework, I am another serial listmaker who spends more time on the lists.
Need to keep internet time to evenings during the week and spend the daytimeorganising/cleaning/decorating.
Need to enjoy the kids more...
Need to get back into exercise (used to swim twice a week).

    There will be more.
June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Progress is easier to acheive than perfection.
  • I'm also back to school next week. Have spent the last week decluttering and charity shop/ebaying it.

I've been losing weight over summer and am 14lbs down, but do have another 3.5st to go yet.

    My resolutions:

To continue losing weight (want another 1 - 1.5st by Christmas)
To stick to new tighter budget
To keep on top of the house - cleaning and clutter

Hello, can I join too? I have always loved September and thought of it as the start of the year (probabley as I spent eight years getting my degree at uni due to ill health!!)

I am not going to start till Monday though as tonight / tomorrow is the first anniversary of my grans death (I was her carer and was with her when she died so I am expecting this first anniversary to hurt) so I am going to have a think about those new year resolutions and get back to you!

    Good luck everyone xx

    Thanks maman.
We have a nearby Sainsburys, I will go and take a look.

Sorry moorhen but when I looked yesterday, they seemed to be selling off Gok's summer range and no sign of any autumn stuff. That being said, Sainsbury's do have some nice, cheap cardis so probably worth a look if you're near a branch.

I probably shouldn't be encouraging people to buy more when you're decluttering. My wardrobe definitely needs a cull and I need to check exactly what I have in the way of autumn/winter clothes before I buy any more.

Does anyone do that getting rid of something when something new comes in?
  • I try to maman - but the other 4 people who live here definitely don't!

Cachaf (((HUG))) hoping the weekend is as good as may be for you, and that you can remember he good times with your Gran.

Not a very auspicious start for me.... but I did use up a little packet of ground ginger that's been in the cupboard for yonks - I tipped the remaining contents on some galia melon for my lunch yesterday, so that's one packet less cluttering up the cupboard.:D

Hoping to get Mr LW on board to help me defrost the freezer shortly (I need him to lift out the drawers as they're too heavy for me). The fridge part (it's a fridge/freezer) has been acting up,so hoping this will make it work more efficiently. It's over a decade old, but I hope we're not going to need to replace it.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

:hello: everyone, can I join? I'm also a teacher, and I think of September as the new year beginning!

I think my aims will be general really but:
    - lose some weight - was doing well but seem to have fallen off wagon
    - try and keep the house tidy
    - sort out the clutter!

CAF - hope this weekend isn't too difficult for you x
