I haven't made much progress today but not really had the opportunity as been out all day with the kids and a friend and her son. However did get some washing out on line; had an almost free day out with a friend who usually spends a lot - even took a flask to make us some lattes to save money, just bought icecreams at the very end of a long day; stopped DH buying chips from the chipshop. Also got lots of free exercise in our local country park and resisting a huge temptation as I type to raid the kid's choccy biccy stash - just a cuppa for me and then bed soon. When I'm tired I eat more sugary stuff, get less done and am grumpy so that's another part of my healthy aim started.
I've been thinking about my aims today too - I'm sure that counts for something! Need to print my aims out and place about the house, in handbag, car etc to remind me.0 -
At the start of the summer holidays I had a mad blitz and finished the ironing - it was completely up to date when we went away!
Since coming back i don't seem to have bothered - and so yet again the house is in a worse state than at the start of the holidays - and it's back to work next week....
But - DD2 has acquired a BF - and he wants to meet us - so it's looking like Wednesday is the day! I therefore have 5 days to perform a miracle - firstly I better hope for good weather so I can get the washing done.... and hope that the men get a full game of cricket tomorrow so I can get some clearing up ( and throwing out!!!) done in relative peace!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Can I join too? I also need to lose weight (one stone), get into a better cleaning routine, declutter and spend more quality time with the family (instead of stressing about the state of the house and not actually doing anything about the mess or actually spending fun time with the kids). Procrastination is a big problem for me!
Off to sort out dishwasher, tidy up kitchen after breakfast, get another load in the washing machine and put the wet clothes out on line. Wish me luck!0 -

Morning all, plan for today is to tackle the bathroom cleaning in a minute, can't put it off any longer. Need to do some dusting in the lounge and possible hoover upstairs. Got to iron hubby a shirt for the wedding reception that we really don't want to go to this eve
. Carp nights sleep neighbour from over the way decided to let his yabby bloomin dog out at about 4.00 am and let it bark for an hour or so . This dog doesn't shut up yapping all the time. When i let my two out for a wee late at night or early hours, I stand and wait for them and any hint of barking that may wake the neighbours, they are straight back indoors.
Anyway, have a good day with all your plans and sept resolutions folks, off to clean the bathroom.MFW 142- Oct 1999 £55,0000, Jul 2013 £27,593.17 Oct 2013 £26,531, Dec 2014 £22,600, Dec 2015 £20,190, Jan 2016 £19,944.19 Mar 2017 £16,944.76 Decluttered 207/2018

HAPPY 1ST SEPTEMBER EVERYONE! OFFICIAL START!_party_
I have loads to do and not in the mood yet. Had breaky, washing on and fed cats - that's it so far but a whole day stretching ahead. Need to:
Sew a button on DH's trousers
Sweep/hoover/mop floors
Dust/persuade DH&kids to dust
Sort out some meals for next few days
Possible food shop (on a Sat)
Hang out washing
Sort back to school bits
fill a small bag of decluttered items
Work out a new system to reward/sanction kids' behaviour - some sort of points system
that'll do for now
We're taking our boys to Woburn Safari Park tomorrow, haven't been for years, hope its good. Saved up clubcard vouchers to go so only costing petrol, will take tons of food and drinks. Can't wait to tell the kids! All this means though I have to get my derriere in gear today.
Hope you all have a happy and productive day today. Try and pop back later to report on progress and hear others.

I need to
1. Lose 4 stone (have started SW)
2. Get into a decent house work routine
3. De clutter, going to aim for 1 item a day
Just off into town now for a contact lense appointment then I'll be back to start cleaning! DD moves out today so I'll start with her room and the garage (once all her stuff has gone!)Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
