Hello - I'm a Pre-school Leader so Sept is my new year too so would love to join in. Hopefully will help me stay on track with weightloss and housework/life routine.
I have had a massive spring clean these holidays as my eldest hasn't been here and little un goes to day nursery all year round - now I need to carry on and keep it this way!
I have written a housework rota and am starting to eat better/meal plan - so easy without the stress of work but really need to stay focused and follow it through....

Felt slightly like I was rearranging deckchairs on the Titanic today but have come up with a sort of solution for the guinea pig situation which a big relief and so tomorrow will be an all out fight to the death with clutter, rubbish, guinea pig cages and tat to e bay.
so yeah big update tomorrow when I am exhausted.

As this has dropped down the board, ive moved it to another board , which is especially designed for "diary" threads. We need to keep these on a separate board, to ensure OSers can find the information they are looking for. If everyone started their own diary thread, this would be completely impractical for OS
Good luck with your challenges and your new year. I've managed to lose 3 stone, so I know what you are facing there.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Well I managed to get quite a bit done despite having MIL visit in morning, kid's birthday party in afternoon and a friend visited in evening. The cleaning routine definitely works better if I just don't think about it and get on with it in the morning. I did the basic morning routine (flylady style) and finally got rid of 2 really annoying piles of clutter from the kitchen table and spare bed. Still got loads to do but a really good start. Also failed on the healthy eating today but that was all because of the party food and my lack of self control.
How did everyone else get on today?0 -
Hey where did my post go?! too tired to start a longish one again so will just say that I completed most of day's aims, missed a couple and added a couple so evened out nicely.
Having a fun day out tomorrow - which does still tick some aims like exercising (will walk lots) and lightening up and will aim to stick to budget re spends. Really looking forward to it as a special day to round up the school holidays.
Monday my two likely to be anxious so that will be a different sort of day entirely and then Tuesday I expect more anxiety on 1st day back - not looking forward to it, will probably come home and cry if they get upset. Wish could skip the going back to new school year and they could just be settled and happy in their new year.
CACHAF - big hugs to you for tonight and tomorrow.
must get to sleep now, early start tomorrow. Try and check in tomorrow eve but more likely Monday. Keep up the good work everyone!
night all

As usual for me - decluttering.
Sell stuff on eBay - just find it so hard to get motivated on this one and yes I know about the free listing.
Get back to losing weight - have put on half a stone since an op last month as I haven't been able to do my outdoor swimming.
Carry on making time for friends which I have started getting good at.
Cut down on charity shop spending - it's still money! Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

5. Take St.Johns Wort daily along with vitamins to take better care of myself.
8. go to the gym twice a week.
9. Ride my exercise bike at least twice a week.
I maybe over doing it a bit here but if I don't move on somehow I will sink.
xx
Exercise is known to help with low mood, I have suffered with depression for a lot of years (it will always be with me) and I have found by increasing my exercise my mood lifts, so definitely worth a go for that reason alone. The weight loss that comes with it is a bonus
I would love to lose some weight, and de clutter the house so I am going to be checking in here to keep myself motivated.Been here for a long time and don't often post

Have logged into mse from hotel to find this thread moved...to debt free diaries....why? Our challenges don't belong here.. I want to organise my life, live frugally whilst also losing weight. I don' t have debt. Another useful thread that will now die, me thinks0
