What would your mother say about you making fun of someone else with a disability? For your information, severe PMT does come under the Equality Act, it is deemed a disability. Why don't you ask her - "Hello mum, I've been online making fun out of another disabled person" - let us know her response.

I also asked my daughter who suffers from chronic endometritis.
She has an ectopic pregnancy, had to have tube and ovary removed and has been in constant severe pain for the past 4 years.
She desperately wants a baby and suffers terrible depression from the pain and loss of not being able to have a child. She recently had to have yet another op to remove yet more adhesions from around her bladder and bowel where they have spread.
Yet despite all the above she manages to hold down a full time job and would never dream of being rude to anyone because shes depressed and in constant pain.
I suppose she could give up work, claim sickness benefits and come on here being nasty to people all day?
We dont think thats an appropriate thing for her to do.
So please dont lecture me on disabilities and mental health problems.
I DID NOT make fun of mental health problems and disabilities or Generalise Any of them.
I replied to someone in a manner i thought was appropriate and i think im quite justified in doing that.

Worked today for me too, got 24 :D

I have very fair skin so I use loads in summer and on holiday as I can burn after just a few minutes in the sun without any.

    What a hypocrite you are.

Hypocrite, are you sure? Perhaps you should look at what I actually bought and my previous posts.

I bought 24 mini sun cream which have 75ml each. That makes 1800ml in total. That's only the equivalent of just over 4 of the big bottles of Soltan. Now you may be one of those stupid Brits on holiday who thinks one squirt of factor 15 on a morning is enough but I'm not and I'm not taking a risk with sun cancer. You'd have noticed when being selective with my previous posts that I'd also commentated how I can't fly hand luggage only as I take too much liquid and sun cream and that I've just been on a 2 month trip to Asia. And I'm planning another Asia trip next summer.

And 6 tubes of 75ml hand cream is hardly enough, that is the size that can be used in a week or two.

I somehow don't think Boots are going to be banning me for these couple of purchases.

Go through the rest of my posts if you like, I think you'll find the only time I pop up on a grabbit is where I find a really good deal that is useful to me personally. I don't spend my time posting on how to make the most of discount codes and freebies at boots and spending £50-£100 at a time.

I only started reading this thread out of curiosity, I was puzzled at why boots would ban anyone. But then I was even more puzzled at why anyone would be spending so much there when it wasn't medical related! You can claim that you buy £1000s of presents there and give them to charity all you want but I, like many other posters (and Boots more importantly) think it's a bit suspect.

I personally don't care if you've been ebaying the stuff. I buy very little from boots and would never dream of buying toiletries from eBay. No doubt there are loads of lurkers on these boards who do this too and I imagine boots close lots of accounts when they spot them. But don't come on here whining when you're caught out and pretend its not your fault!

So, Pat, are you going to explain to Boots why you bought the amount of stuff that you did?
You may or may not be able to convince people on this thread that you aren't a trader, but that hardly matters.

You yourself can see why Boots thought you were a trader. So they haven't been unreasonable. Likewise the people on this thread aren't being unreasonable in thinking that you are a trader.
But if you are not then you should be able to explain yourself to them.

Please see my previous posts where i have said that boots were going to reconsider there decision and i told them not to bother.
Really am fed up of repeating myself:mad:

So you have not been buying in bulk and taking advantage of boots offers?
    Right ho:D

Are you for real? You're just making yourself look stupid now. 4 bottles of sun cream and a few mini hand cream is hardly bulk buying. You of all people know that.

The thread isn't about my shopping habits yet I've justified the only £10 I've spent in boots this year. I'm not the one who has admitted to spending £1000s and then got myself banned.

Out of interest, what have you bought??

I'd write to Boots Chief Executive and request the information. Ask them to provide all data they have on you under the data protection act I would suggest the Freedom of Information act but I don't think that this applies to companies which aren't linked to public authorities.

Hi there and thanks for your reply:)
Even though ive put i will no longer shop with boots anyway i may do this.
As ive stated on here many many times boots have given me various reason why they would do this but no actual reason why they have.
They have just stated they are not allowed to give me a reason.
I'm presuming thats to cover them if they are wrong.
I would like to know the actual reason, as would anyone this happened to.
Can i actually do the above with a company like boots?

Boots don't have to give you a reason, in the same way a landlord can bar you from his pub. Boots can choose who they sell to or not.

Way back in Post #4 I suggested the ban may be to do with Boots believing you to be trading and the thread now seems to confirm this. It matters not whether you think you are trading or not, all that matters is that Boots thinks you are.

Write to them by all means, but they don't have to give a reason and even if they did accept they made a mistake and let you back, they will be watching you like a hawk - who wants that hassle?

You've already decided not to shop there, so why give yourself the stress of prolonging it, getting fobbed off, you know why you got banned, why get it in writing, what are you going to do with it, sue them? Of course not, so why bother writing?

Some battles aren't meant to be won Pat, use a different delivery address or get a friend to make the purchases if you still want to buy Boots stuff, there's more than one way to skin a cat as they say.

My husband now works 7 days a week, he did not have work for months so yes, we got by on ebay.
That does not mean i was selling boots stuff on there.
We got our ebay stuff from quite legitimate wholesale suppliers.
It actually took a lot of work, research and effort to find these.

Not looking to get involved here. Did have sympathy with you until I read earlier in the thread you swore blind you had no ebay account.

Unable to believe any of your stories of your mother following this revelation. Suggest this poster is taken with a rather large pinch of salt.
