    Hi everyone,

Not posted for a couple of days - been keeping my head down after the other day. I can see what people mean about too many photos but think it would be a shame not to have the odd one to brighten our day (thinks pennineman's views) and I'm definitely missing Smokybabes pictures.

Happy hols to PP and Math - think of us poor wage slaves.

Anyhow after haveing a couple more bad days I've finally got my head sorted out as to what I'm going to do work wise. It's made me feel much better so I'm in a positive mood for tackling some things in the house. This weekend I want to empty the unit over and around our bed because we've decided to get rid of it. I can't wait it will make the room seem much more spacious and it means DH will have to sort through all the gadgets/boxes etc over his side of the bed!!!

    Morning all,

Penny-Pincher, Math and Jockettuk, I hope you all enjoy your holidays.
Haribo, It's a pity you won't be over at Easter as I'm off work that week but I'm sure you'll have a great time with Dad and step mum when they come to you. :)
Snowy, good luck with your visit to the dentist today.
reverie, enjoy your last day at work... it must feel a bit scary but I imagine that once you've left you'll feel really liberated.
clairefun, the organic gardens sound fantastic.
Ivyleaf, I’m glad you had a good time and it’s great to see you back!
AMIE and Smokybabe, get yourselves back in here girls, we're all missing you!

Well I promised myself I wouldn't come onto mse until I'd done what needed doing this morning, but as you can see I have broken my promise...in my defence I have put the breadmaker and washing machine on, done the breakfast dishes, changed the boys beds and cleaned the bathroom, so I think I deserve a coffee break. :D

Dd and ds1 have broken up for Easter already, so the little one was less than pleased to be the only one going to school this morning. Like you thriftlady, I enjoy having the house to myself at some stage every day but I love the lack of routine in the holidays! No early mornings! :j I'm working (evenings) next week but the whole family is off for Easter week and I'm looking forward to it as it normally heralds the start of summer for us and we spend days going off and having picnics etc. Snowy we may be down your way at some stage so we'll give you a shout. <imagining snowy hiding now!>

Ok better get back to the cleaning… it's a bit pointless really as I know with them all at home we'll be back to the endless trail of cups and glasses in the kitchen and the rest of the house will probably be demolished by the end of the weekend. The joys of housework...it's never finished!

    Have a good day everyone.

so fed up and want to go home from work.
I'm training and the people in charge of my training (unintentionally) made me cry...I know it's all about setting targets and telling me where I need to improve but sometimes it's nice to hear what I'm doing right and it feels like I never get to hear that.

Feeling miserable makes me want to shop it away but must be good, on my way home I'm taking £20 "spending money" out of the bank for my trip into town tomorrow and leaving my debit card at home! Have a voucher for boots No7 stuff which says it runs out on 31st March so I'm hoping they'll take it tomorrow and I can treat myself cheaply.

At least I have leftover toad in the hole to look forward to as lunch, to me that's something to look forward to :rotfl:

Hope everyone's having a good day, not too horrified by the school holidays! we don't break up until next Thursday

Hmm Payday today, but unfortunately I've got no money as work had messed up my wages since october to the sum of overpaying me £300, and they wanted it back all in one go  As I'm only part-time, I don't usually earn much more than that a month, so I battled with them and they've taken £150 this month, and will take £150 next month. Unfortunately, the electricity bill came through yesterday. We get £30 a month included in our rent, but the bill for the quarter came to £150 so we owe the landlord £60. Not an excessively high bill considering that it's for 3 Winter months, but its money I could do with having this month.

I'm off to Barcelona on tuesday, so of the £149 I have spendable this month, I need to buy new trainers, and some Euros (though not too many as Mum is taking us as a treat so only need "spends", probably about £70 worth). I will be back in Sheffield on Easter Monday, and so should only need to spend on my bus fares to/from work, then I have 2 more weeks where I need to have as many "no-spend" days as possible! Me thinks I need to get advertising my baskets and get selling them!!!

    Today:
    • [STRIKE]Ironing[/STRIKE] *looks smug at having done ironing before noon*
    • [STRIKE]Clothes Away[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]White Wash In[/STRIKE]
    • White Wash Dried (Some in TD, Some on Airer)
    • Work 4.30-9

Have a good Friday everyone - not sure if I'll manage to get on here again before I go away so HAPPY EASTER

    Roz xxx

Edit: Ooooohhhhhhhh Just remembered I'm due my final installment of my student loan on 16th April!!! I'll use it to pay the next 3 months rent, but I should have £100 or so left over, so not as skint as I thought I was!! :j :j

    Morning all...

Urgh, I really wanted to get some OSing done today but am still feeling blooming awful and my head is killing me.... really don't want to go anywhere today but I have to pay money in the bank so that there's enough to pay the mortgage and bills.... can't believe it's almost April, eek! April is an awful time for me as I have so many family birthdays :P I have a new cousin due next Friday too, so that's another one!!

Rustie is making mango ice cream on This Morning right now and it looks yummy. Makes me more determined to sort the freezer out next week!!!

Right, this isn't going to get me to the bank, shift my headache or unload and load the DW!!

Have a good day everyone and if anyone wants a hug, there's plenty to go around!

PS does anyone think that they'd bat an eyelid if I went to the bank and wool shop in my pjs???

Roz have a good time in Barcelona, there are some wonderful things to see!

Uselesswith£ - great to hear the good news.

Two posts in one day - at this rate I'll be up to 3 stars and it'll only have taken me 12 months or so lol.

Forgot to say, does anyone use Bonesuckin sauce as a marinade. My family love it but Lakeland only stock it durin the summer. My last jar ran out a couple of weeks ago so I rang the Cambridge Branch earlier to see if they had it in stock yet and it is so I'll dash in tomorrow to get some. I'll also take advantage of the wonderful fruit and veg on the market there. Might also treat DH to some of the loose olives they sell. I wish I lived close enough to make it worth my while to shop there every week but I can't justify the 20 mile drive for that.

Ooh, Rozv, have a great time in Barcelona! I've never been but perhaps when I'm teaching on a permanent role I can persuade them to do a trip there... so much to learn and enjoy there I've heard!

Big dilemma.... somehow I've melted the dial on the front of my SC... it has melted so that I can't move the dial!!! Do I buy a new one? I was really looking forward to doing a load of batch cooking next week so I guess I should!! Can anyone recommend one? There's only 2 of us so we don't need a huge one at all, are the Asda ones any good? I'll pop over to the SC threads and have a nose I guess!
