Infact we all went out last night to the pub and had a lovely time, just now have a very bad hangover!!!

    Morning all

    Dull and miserable here again this morning :rolleyes:

    Our car's sounding very, very poorly, it's old and on it's last legs but we've been trying to keep it going as long as possible - I hoovered it out last weeked so that's obviously why it's creating now! DH is going to finish work early today and go car shopping - time to tighten those belts a little further - he's got a budget of £5k and I've already had the foresight to have a 0% on purchases card ready....should be able to clear it within the 6 months - but only if we're strict.

    Got to visit Mr T's this morning - going out for coffee with a friend (her turn to pay this week thank god)

    Spent most of yesterday scraping stickers off of DD's bed - :mad: - used the WD40 trick and it worked really well - gave the whole thing a good scrub down with stardrops and it looks like new....also washed all the wood work down in preparation to paint it - after the stardrops treatment it really doesn't need it - Stardrops saves the day again!

    I'd best go wake DD's and drag them to school for their last day - really looking forward to the holidays, I love having them around. :j

    Hope you all have a great day.

    Have a good time PP

    Just normal Friday for me, taking the parents shopping. I got really annoyed with myself yesterday, The Pain and I only split the bank accounts last week and before I cancelled all the direct debits coming out of my account I made sure all his credit card bills and car insurance were paid. He obviously got a print out from the bank yesterday and found that my Debenhams card had been paid from his account (it has been for the last 12 months) and I stupidly paid him the money back!!

    Morning peeps

    DLB - so glad it went well. It's a shame that it takes a funeral for people to get back together. But I'm sure your gran would've been glad she brought some good.

    PP and JocketUK - enjoy your hols

    Hugs Scuzz, well, at least you tried. And they know now that you're not happy. Maybe things will change.

    Last day of school here. Kids on a sleepover at MIL and FIL tonight. What will DH and I do? The possibilities are endless. The fact that I'm full of cold and feeling rotten means we won't be doing anything too exciting though! Think possibly the cinema.

    Off to load the WM and clear the kitchen of breakfast clutter.

    Have a great time PP, glad it went well DLB and Moggins sorry you've had to come back down to earth.

    Feeling much better this morning. We are supposed to be going swimming this morning but not sure if I should or not. I certainly need to wear out DD as I'm on my own with her DH is going out again tonight I want her in bed at a decent time it was 8.30 before she went to sleep last night.

    Apart from that it a general clean round today this afternoon plus the obligatory washing (where does it all come from).

    Have a good day everyone

    Lovely holiday wishes as appropriate!

    lambanana - I love your avatar, I have a bag of him and it's so cute.

    dlb, glad to hear yesterday went well.

    Friday at last - OH is very excited, especially as he's only at work 2 days next week. Today is spring cleaning the house from top to bottom & finally finish unpacking, as Sunday hubby's grandma is coming over to see the house for the first time. She's old and 'posh' (puts on far too many airs & graces if you ask me! She was a cook in the navy when she was young so she can't be that posh really!) but our house is a sort of old and posh house too (a very 1930's house) so I know hubby wants it looking it's best. I'm of the opinion that we've got a 2 year old and we moved in less than a month ago, but in this case his opinion is more important (for once :rotfl:).

    Tomorrow though we're off as part of Kent's 'big day out' on a free entry to Yalding Organic Gardens, I'm so excited, it's the first garden I've visited since getting my nice new big sunny garden, and we're organic, it includes:

    A Woodland Walk, (We're going to have a woodland area at the far end of our allotment);
    an Apothecary's Garden, (we'll be having a miniature one of these);
    The Medieval Garden,
    the Knot Garden,
    the Cottager's Garden with its intensive vegetable plots, (we do cottage garden well, and will have extensive veg plots too!);
    a Victorian Artisan’s Garden,
    Herbaceous Borders,
    the 1950s Allotment (very excited by seeing this - will give me ideas for mine, I'm sure!);
    The Organic Vegetable Display Garden and the Organic Fruit Garden (as you can imagine, also excited by this).
    The Low Water Garden, (for the next hosepipe ban!);
    the Recycling Area,
    the Children's Garden, (my garden will be a 'children's garden' next year); and finally
    The Wildlife Garden (which is what I want my whole garden & allotment to be as well!).

    Phew, sorry for all that, but doesn't it just sound wonderful? I can't wait! So it'd better be good weather on Saturday! I'll be taking my camera as well, so hopefully will get some nice photographs.

    Yesterday my sushi was GORGEOUS and my muffins went down very well, everyone was very impressed. Unfortunately today hubby started to plumb in the DW before he left for work, not only is it not finished, by I also now can't use the WM! Sometimes his 'help' really isn't that welcome. :mad:

    Hope everyone has a good day today, and hugs to those that need them.

    Good Morning All

    Grey & horrible here at mom. House is still a bombsite hopefully will see an improvement today.

    Plan of action today is - hairdressers at 9.30. On return sort out the washing & only wash what is actually needed for the weekend. DD is at a sleepover tonight so need to drop her clothes off at her friends house. Then will hide away in my office, update all my bank a/c's and try & do some horrible filing that I have been putting off. This afternoon will get oh to try and set ironing board in my bedroom so can clear that. Exciting stuff eh.

    Still no cooker sink or anything so dinner tonight will probably be fish and chips.

    Have a great hol PP.

    (((Hugs))) for anyone who needs them.

    Have a great day.
