Your neighbour's not exactlly being neighbourly either with the way they're parking. They can see ther's a problem but seem to be parking right over to the side and back from their garage - can you discuss this with them?0

Exactly right. If your neighbour was to park as far over to the left plot as she has to yours, you'd get a small van in there quite easily I'd have thought.0 -
Tell me about it. There are only 3 of us who park there and there is 6 garages so there us plenty of space.
I originally asked her partner if he would ask her to move down a bit
I explained why and also said she would only have to move down a foot or so. I currently park to the left of her car so space wouldnt be an issue. He said yeah im sure she wont mind. They went away for a weekend so i started parking there. Monday morning i came out to find her parked as she is in the picture
Im keeping the peace for now but secretly im fuming. If she wants to be so anal that she has to park in front of her garage thats fine but she could have had the decency to tell me. Either knock my door sunday night or leave me room for monday then have a word monday evening.
Funny thing is ive been nothing but helpfull to her since we moved in. When she was single i putting. up a new fence which she said she liked so i said if she gets the panels i will fit it for free. I guess thats all been forgotten.0 -

Also im putting up new fences soon between her garden and ours but now im going to fix it to our side of the existing fence so she does not get the benefit of a new fence. Does the fact that shes only renting make any difference to the situation?0

Well in that case surely my neighbour would be at fault for blocking access?

This is what I would do
1. Go to Highways Dept and look at the street plans, see if the "front-garden" neighbour has occupied a pavement area that is not their land.
2. Look at your deeds and see if there is any right of access over the forecourt area infront of garage number 2, and if it is to be kept clear at all times....but equally this restriction may also apply to you (although there would be no logic in that) such that you strictly speaking cannot park there either.
3. If the neighbour insists on parking infront of her garage....if she was to park bumper 6 inches away from the garage door, it would leave you enough room to drive off your 'driveway'......or does the neighbour need to walk through the garage door in order to enter her house? In which case leaving about 2 feet should be enough to be able to open the garage door and might still leave you enough room to get out. Unless you have a huge van.
Although the other garages may not be in use (there are 6 garages all in a row and we only see 2 of them in the pic), I don't think it's reasonable to expect her to move over, she could find herself being asked to move by another neighbour...... you could equally park infront of someone elses garage.
But as said I do think it is reasonable to expect her to park right up against her own garage door so that you can move in and out.0
