My favourite dish, for the sheer pleasure of cooking it, has to be any curry. Stirring it as it bubbles away in my battered old big saucepan, like something from Harry Potter or Macbeth, with the smell of the spices fumigating the kitchen - and probably the rest of the house. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

I'm right with ya there Stephen. Have you got the book, the curry secret? Some amazing recipes in that. Time consuming, as you have to make the base, pre cook the meat in a sauce containing the base, then cook the curry itself, but oh so nice!
Another one for stew and dumplings here, but that's a winter food!
Homemade quiche? You'll never eat a shop bought one againProud to be dealing with my debts :T
