    you need to ask as many times a necessary in order to find out where iyt is from.

    you will have to pay it back though. even though the error is theirs ... you are aware that you shouldnt have received it and ignorance is never a defence when it comes to public financess

    IM not aware that i should not received it the man at the DWP said you can get PHI and ESA togeather.

    but having 16l in savings would precluude you from receiving any means tested benefit!

    you have said that you have been ion income based ESA for 4 years.

    that would suggest that you havent worked in this time.
    you would have had to have worked and paid NI contributions in the tax years 09/10 and 10/11 to have any entitlement to contributions based benefit!

    if you werent working during these years, there is no possible way that you have neem entitled

    For CB ESA they will look at class 1 and class 2 NI credits for the tax years 2009/10 and 2010/11
    For CB JSA they will look at class 1 NI credits only for the same period

    class 1 come from earned income, class 2 can be paid by self employed

    Yes that right
    being on IB ESA they have been paying my NI is that not enough

    not for JSA....
    NI credits go towards your state pension not conts based benefit

    Oh well i will have to wait and see if a letter comes to explain everything i might give them another ring on tuesday.
