If you haven't already, run the MCPR tool.

Delete the copy of DDS you have, and the logs DDS.txt & attach.txt.

Download a new copy of DDS and post attach.txt

Before doing anything else, run DDS again and post the contents of attach.txt. This will show you/us what programs are present on a clean install.

Edit: So you can type faster than I can....

I suggest you also download and install Macrium Reflect free edition, then do an image of the C: drive and create rescue media. This will allow you to get back to this point in future should you so need. (Regular images will allow you to restore the entire disk from a selected image)

I reckon that's a System Restore.

Toxteth it was a factory reset All these programmes came with it!

It wiped the machine and took me right back to day one

There are 2 options in control panel-one is system restore the other is take back to factory settings- i did the latter

I wish i knew how to take a screen shot so i could show you

If you don't use some of that stuff, I would uninstall it.

Yes i ran the tool and then rebooted as it told me to, then deleted the removal tool on the desktop...do i need to run it again?

I have taken a screen shot of the option i used to factory restore if that helps?

I dont know which bits are essential programmes and which bits arent tony, the fingertapps stuff I definitely want to keep.

If you could tell me which bits NOT to delete then I can go through the list and if i dont need them i will remove them.
