    In reply to jenie's question,
in my opinion blackberry's security is one of the best and as long as you stay within their approved sites/ apps world then there should not be anything to worry about, NO extra security will be required.
However if you start downloading apps from sites not approved by blackberry then like any system/tablet you take your life into your own hands.
Any system is only as safe as the user using it, but stick to approved sites all the security you need is provided on the tablet :)
Thankyou, I have already bought the playbook and want to buy some books for kobo, you've put my mind at rest, thanks again.

Anyone here can recommend a stand type leather case (for hand free movie watching) for playbook? Looked at certain ebay items and they are shipped from US, so over all comes to £10. Anything cheaper?

I've had one of these cheap £3.95 leather cases from amazon for 6 months and it is still perfect. ( amazon.co.uk/Deluxe-Black-Leather-BlackBerry-Playbook/dp/B005SC6X06 ) It is obviously not the same quality as the official blackberry one but it is much better quality than you would expect for under a fiver. Don't think you will get a cheaper one, it does stand up but remember Blackberry had the brainwave of putting the power socket on the bottom edge so you cannot run it off mains power whilst watching a film (same with all stand up cases).
  • Got my BB Playbook and my daughter has confiscated it immediately. It's awesome.
Can none the trollers on here explain to me why I should have went for a Nexus8/16G tablet when a 64G BB can hold a trillion pics of my kids as a backup device?

Edit: Another BB 64G ordered for my daughter's Xmas - it's the only way for me to reclaim what's rightfully mine.

I'd be interested to know that as my kids are both having one for xmas and will get a kick out of it even if they're in the same room.

there is a pre loaded "video Chat" app that works really well over wireless internet connection but you can only communicate with other playbook users.

Yes. See the 'Features' section on the Currys Playbook product page. However, it can be very slow to get a fix.

albionrovers - I'm certainly not a troller, but the Nexus is a very different device. You have only mentioned one spec - local storage, where the PB does win. But the Nexus has a faster processor, and a far higher resolution screen, just for starters. Just buy the device that suits you best!

Or you could refuse it totally as you are covered by the 'sale of goods act' for free!!
