Headphones to be used with a TV

Sorry. I asked and got so many (different) replies.

So now i have a why splitter, speakers, the scart to audio jack. What else do I need?

Dan, I don't think you've told us what TV this is - just that it's unbranded. What size is it?
Instead of wasting money making up for the rubbish TV you bought in the first place, this might be a perfect excuse for an upgrade. None of the 'workarounds' above will be as convenient, or sound as good, as simply having a proper headphone socket to use...

It is a 26" LCD TV that came free with a Dreams TV Bed (San Diego model). It is unbranded and the TV and the instruction manual have no company information written anywhere.

I dont really want to spend £150+ on a new TV, not yet anyway.

As mentioned by googler at posts 15, 17 and 55 it looks as if your TV's SCART is input only. Assuming that is the case, which seems highly likely, I don't see how Linbox's suggestion is going to work either.
