Headphones to be used with a TV

Hi,
search, scart adapter to 3.5 jack.0 -
if you haven't got any scart output on your Tv then the scart/3mm jack won't work either.0

Done that with the edits above, Merely connecting a headphone jack to the SCART won't work - not enough signal strength to power headphones, no control over volume.
The solution with the SCART will ONLY work if the TV outputs audio through the SCART - if the SCART is wired as an INPUT only, you're back to square one.
What's the make and model of the TV? (Sorry, it's unbranded - is there no maker's plate with a model number anywhere? No instruction manual?)0 -
The scart to 3.5mm jack only brings up the end of the cable that looks the same as the end of the headphones (male) I need a female one.0

What is the picture of above?
All I was hoping for was to plug the headphones into a female connection which is the opposite end of the cable to the scart, then scart into tv.0 -

No you don't. Plugging headphones into a SCART won't work, because the SCART won't deliver enough power for them, and it will be at fixed level, with no control over the volume.....0 -
Ok, well the links you have provided are for items far too expensive so I guess I will just have to leave it.0

I'm not suggesting those are the only ones on the market, nor that they're the cheapest, etc etc - merely that they're the type of thing you need.
I wasn't in a position to link to anything explicitly tailored to your budget, since you haven't stated what your budget is......
Armed with the pointers I gave you, you could do a little searching of your own, and see if you can find something that's within the reach of your wallet..... no?0
