Selling your stuff on Play.com

Does anyone know if you can print packing slips out on play? Just sold my first cd today, after signing up and listing 5 cd's yesterday, so rather pleased with that, if it all goes smoothly. Knowing my luck something will go wrong :rotfl:
Was just wondering if there was anything I could print out to put in with the cd? Or do I just do something myself?
Thanks.0 -

Hi
well I was working out how much to charge by taking off their charges and the postage and seeing what I would be left with. Roughly the ones I've listed so far, if sell, I"ll make between £1.50 and £3.00 on them, so I'm fine with that on the ones I've listed. At least with play against ebay, I can work it out and see how much I"ll have at the end after charges and postage. Haven't really charged for packaging yet, but I use recycled packaging anyway.
I'm not sure about amazon yet, with what they charge and work, haven't sussed it out yet.
I'd probably just keep any money I made on play and either use it as I do buy items from them, or wait till I had a considerable amount to transfer.. if it got that far.
With ebay, you have their charges, paypal fees, and paypal charge a transfer fee unless you wait until you have over £50.
I'll see how it goes anyway and if it's worth it.0 -

I find Play.com the best place to get rid of DVDs, CDs and books. You can always see what the fee will be before listing ans CDs and DVDs only cost 60p to post 2nd class so as long as you factor that in then there is good money to be made. I've now made about £400 since July. I spent lots of it on presents or DVDs I wanted.
I will never sell these items on eBay because the sale prices are terrible and most of the time the items don't sell unless you price them really low and then you have up to 3 lots of fees to pay on top of postageNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -

Well I'm just in shock that I sold one the day after I listed it! Might wait a while to sell some more, but I wasn't expecting that.
I've added first class post on mine, but may change to second class. Although it's only 10p less I think.
Wasn't sure how books would go, I probably have a fair few books I can clear out and dvd's.
I presume you've listed rather a lot to make £400?0 -
The most I have had listed at any one time is 67 but I just had a big clear out - just checked, I have sold 116 items all together. Books are not so good as most of mine are thicker so you have to pay higher postage and they go for lower prices than DVDs and CDs - for me anywayNot been here in years! Hi everyone. I keep getting buyers claiming my DVDs are faulty, when I know they work.
Play are forcing me to refund, but I know they work
What can I do?
That is unfortunate, not sure there is anything you can do, have you asked them to return the items? On Amazon, you can ask the buyer to return the item before refunding.
Also, have you been in touch with one of the Play Seller Support Staff to discuss your problem? They may back you up on the need to return the item before you refund.
I'm lucky that I sell mainly 2nd hand books and don't suffer from that type of problem. I do occasionally get a buyer that says they didn't know they weren't buying a new copy.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything on a search.
Literally signed up to sell some stuff on PlayTrade an hour ago, and have sold 2 of the DVDs I'd listed!! Wasn't expecting to sell that quickly :j
I haven't had a chance to read through all the t&c's yet but wanted to check what methid of postage is best - normal 1st/2nd class (with cert of posting) or recorded?
I have found this in the T&c's - 4.2.16 Proof of postage does not equate to proof of delivery and sellers are expected to obtain the necessary insurance from any postal carriers in order to make a claim in the event that an item is reported as missing or lost in the post. but it's seems a tad ambigous (sp?)
What do you guys do?
TIA

I only post normal second class. For the amount items sell for its not worth investing in recorded delivery.
I've not had an item go missing yet and find the post office very reliable. If one item was to go missing I would rather loose that £3 or more than have spent an extra 70p on sending lots of items recorded. But you can always try that out and see what suits you and if you are selling higher value items then it might be worth investing although from the sound of those T&Cs a signature on delivery might not mean much to them anywayNot been here in years!
