Thanks. I have tried to give the link to the petition and the forum. Unfortunately, it is forbidden by the DM House Rules.0 -

You think Ofcom is misleading again ? 250 complaints, there are almost 200 sigs on the petition and not everyone who has posted here has signed it, Ofcom are pleading the only got a small number of complaints DIRECT from consumers, what a load of tory/labour spin OfcoN !"Ofcom told This is Money last month that it has received over 250 complaints about Orange on this issue."
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Ofcom told This Is Money LAST MONTH it had 250 complaints.
My guess is,this was mid October, just as the story was starting to make news.
At that stage only the early batches of letters had gone out. Recipients would have been unsure what to do.Could anything BE DONE?.
This Forum had not got up to steam, Eva's procedure template had not become essential reading, Nick's Homebrew, was still fermenting.
Nobby's compensation was just a pipe dream, and Diamonds waiting to be discovered.
I still don't like Orange, but the future remains bright.
Ask Ofcom the question now, and they will not tell you, unless you are from An Approved Newspaper.

It may or may not be of interest - last Friday, after Nicks refusal of FOI from Ofcom - and in an attempt to get an idea of 'numbers' I did a page by page count of 'unique posters' on this thread.
Surprisingly that amounted to (Last Friday) 242 unique posters - some of those we know to be 'disruptive posters'0 -
Hi Eva,
Thanks for doing the count, it is a suprising number to me but I guess the number of views is important.

Hi Nobby
This is true - viewers are still able to glean information without joining or posting - and of course go through the process and get resolution - as I am sure many have
Having 'scouted' around a bit this thread and forum is frequently mentioned on other forums too.0 -
The Dave
Going through Orange CS could have you tearing your hair out!
Ofcom > Executive Office are both free calls and is the most hassle free route.
Ofcom is simply registering your complaint and requesting a case number which then means you can phone Exec Office direct and quote that number - without it they will not entertain you.
Ensure you go down this mis-sold route and inform Exec what you want as resolution
Exec Office is the highest level to which you can take your complaint and seek resolution - they are the only office with access to both accounts (Mobile & BB)
Just a quick message to say I finally found the time to sort this.
Made 2 calls to Orange yesterday, one via 150 and one to the exec office as 150 weren't helpful and said they'd get a manager to call back
Exec office said they couldn't access my account due to the CS rep not logging out and would call me back today.... I essentially explained I was looking for a £12 discount to cover/offset the cost of new broadband, to which for me that would be fine.
It was pretty straight forward seemingly! No phone call but got a text this morning...Hello from Orange. I apologise I will be unable to call you today. A £12 discount has been added to your account to offset the cost of your new broadband. This will appear on your next Orange bill. This is not normal Orange policy, but as you would have been eligible for the Friends and Family discount previously, I appreciate the loss of the free broadband would have been a significant loss for you. Orange Executive Office.
I've left out the contacts name for now.
Thanks for Eva and Nobby plus many others for the help and advice you've shown and given to folks on here.
I hope everyone else gets the resolution they want0 -
I've been with orange for over 7 years. Having only just renewing my mobile contract back in April have now received numerous phone calls from them trying to sell me the home phone line deal. I've tried to complain to them about my free broadband deal ending, but they are just not interested. I know I'm now going to be stuck in my mobile contract till July 2014. But come that day orange, oh sorry EE, will have lost a long time customer!:mad:0
