Everything Everywhere, sounds like a catch prhase a small guy with a little tash had in 1939, six years later he was no longer around.

It's time we fought back like we did in 39 - 45

If you were told your BB would run with your mobile then you can get your Ofcom case number and ensure your contract is honoured.

If you do decide to go elsewhere for your BB you just need to get a MAC code from Orange and pass it on to your new chosen provider.

To my knowledge no one has been charged a disconnection fee - nor should they as they have given you - very short notice!

When does your mobile contract end?

contract ends in January and was offered broadband for life as long as I kept renewing, trying to find the original papers. Great to hear no one has been charged disconnection fee.

    Fastmedium,

I only pay £8.93 a month (Canary £8.75 less 15% loyalty plus VAT) and Orange agreed after presure to honour my remaining 22month contract at this price with the Free BB offer. So you do not need to be paying £30.00 or even £15.00 a month. The point is what was agreed and what you were led to beleave at the time your mobile package was taken out. Hope thats clear.

    Kind Regards
  • We received the letter from Orange back in August to say our free broadband was ending on the 19th of November. Over the last fortnight they have been bombarding us with calls to discuss the matter....my opinion is what is there to discuss.... They are disconnecting my broadband !. I would rather pay someone else for broadband than change my home phoneline to Orange, I suppose i will have to take time to speak to them so I can get our MAC code out of them. Strangely our broadband which is usually very reliable has suddenly stopped working on several occassions....another ploy to get me to pick up the phone ?

My broadband has been playing up as well

Just had a good result from Orange. After a few calls they have now agreed to extend the "free" broadband to the end of my current (and last) contract. Persistance paid off!. What seemed to convince them was the fact I renewed my contract in an Orange store and I was told the broadband service would last the length of my contract.
After some discussion the agent referred me to her supervisor who offered me the deal. He even had a prepared script to read to me which was a disclaimer.
    All sorted till next August.

who did you speak to? Did you complain to of com first?
  • A little warning:

I am having my broadband honoured for free until the end of my mobile contract.

If you are considering leaving Orange at the end of your current mobile contract beware of the following: You must give them 30 days notice if you want to end your contract, even if your contract is coming to its end (I know, seems silly). If you do not give them 30 days notice, they will charge you on a rolling basis until you give them notice. This monthly charge will be gross of any corporate and loyalty discounts currently applied.

In terms of my renewal, they are unable to offer me anything competitive compared to other companies, I currently pay (sim only) £9 a month for 600 mins, unlimited texts, 30 pictures messages, 500MB of mobile internet and home broadband. The Best offer was £15.50 for 300 mins, unlimited texts. I pointed out that I'd be better on a rolling contract on my current plan without my loyalty discounts.

Looking into Virgin £12 sim with unlimited texts, 1200 mins and 1GB of internet (which I don't even use!).

Then either talktalk or Plusnet for my home broadband.

    Thoughts?

Yes! We all know Free BB was for Life!

Problem being they seem to have that covered by their T&C's - would be fantastic if you still have those papers! - To date, apart from the one posted by Nick Birkin found on a hard drive we have no 'hard' paperwork

    How we fund Change.org

We fund our free global empowerment platform by accepting advertising in the form of sponsored petitions, similar to sponsored videos on YouTube, sponsored links on Google, or sponsored tweets on Twitter.
Here's how it works: after you sign petitions on Change.org you will sometimes be presented with petitions marked as "sponsored":
    356_original.jpg
If you choose to sign a sponsored petition, a check-box lets you choose whether to hear more from the sponsoring organization:

If you sign the sponsored petition with the box checked, the sponsoring organization will have the ability to email you directly for further action. This is a form of "cost-per-action" advertising, which is common among online platforms.
