Orange 'Free' Broadband

All I meant was that the BB division must have 10's of thousands of BB accounts to sort out and adjustments made to accounts - especially those attached to mobile contracts.
Whilst they - Orange BB - Team will primarily deal with selling new lines ect - your team will deal with the 'overflow' and contested cases?
My team is the team that does the regrades. We (non-supervisors) can't offer any sort of insight into cases. It would be a separate part of the business that deals with any cases. Recently though, I've heard some of our supervisors dealing with escalated claims so maybe now they have been given some sort of direction on how to handle it? Before now it was just a case of giving out the email address to send complaints to.I would like to believe but it is difficult!

The prices for fibre broadband of £20, £25, or £30 in terms and conditions state that the line rental of £14 mth is also required.
The only advertised discount to Orange customers is £5 discount. It is not clear if you can get an additional £5 off for having both a 4GEE and fibre too. So possible £10 off.
That would still make the lowest fibre at £10 mth. If you currently pay £5 month for broadband (+ £13.50 for line rental) then you would have to pay another £5.
What about customers on the £14 line rental and 'free' broadband 18 mth contract ? What will they pay ?
As most competitors charge at least £15 mth for fibre broadband, why would Orange give for free ?
Or are you saying this will be a very special deal for current Orange mobile and land line customers and whatever they on currently they will upgrade for free at no extra cost ?
If true, how can a customer verify this ?
All I've been told (and I read on some web link that was in a folder on the computer in work) that the upgrade to fibre optic BB is free and doesn't affect your price. Your price for the contract length stays as it is.
Obviously after your 18/12 months Orange (then EE) are free to say "no, we now want more money" but the customers are free to leave at any time.
So the customers on the £14 LR package for 18 months will pay £14 a month regardless of what happens.
Nothing is well documented online annoyingly and I know you all want solid proof rather than an employee of the company that screwed you over but after 20 mins of googling, I can't give you a link to online where it will say it.
Feel free to email customer-services@orange.co.uk and tell them you are thinking about regrading with Orange as an adviser told you that when fibre optic BB comes to your area, you will be upgraded for free without extra charges on your monthly bill for tangible evidence incase Orange try and worm their way out of things again.0 -
Now that I've looked at this link... what a rubbish deal!
£10 BB + £14 line rental = £24 for up to 14megs (or £19 with a phone contract). I think EE will need to rethink their prices because that is utter trash.
e: £34 for fibre optic with a 40GB cap what?? Oh lord I do hope nobody falls for any of that.0 -
Further to my post earlier today 2184 sure enough when i got home tonight my broadband was not working or should I say disconnected as the orange lady told me. I found one of the letters I had from orange and it definitely said broadband would stop working on 4th November so I decided to call back. Used the number in the letter 0800294 4747 and spoke to a very nice Scottish lady who told be that I had not been disconnected but they had technical problems and that everything would be back up and working in 48 hours. Strange that. A technical problem blocked me from using webmail yesterday and knocked out my broadband today What a joke!
Not sure how I am going to do it but I am going to make an effort to call ofcom tomorrow.

I. agree, FREE or £5 or them lolSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

orange tried to commit to nothing in writing and pulled the customer service email address just before they sent out letters to call your company. Ironic because the Ofcom enforced Complaints code of conduct orange publication says email it to the email you posted.
orange knew it was misleading customers & to protect themselves employed your company to lie & mislead us, and blame your company to Ofcom for misleading and miss-selling (which makes no sense as legally Orange are accountable for their 3rd party sub contractors - not that Ofcom give a a$$ about legal things as proven again and again since Ofcoms birth) no doubt your employers will be expected to lie in court for Orange aswell if it comes to a small claims court on the truth coming out, all for or a "bonus" for exceptional sales
Can someone submit a Data Protection Subject Access request for the details of the "3rd party in Glasgow" where our details were sent to for the said "third party" dealing with the free/£5 broadband?
Actually Eva if you could be so kind as to rustle one up (still on a tablet here) and we can all copy paste and fill the blanks in and we all sent to executive.office@everythingeverywhere.com
In law and court you cover all eventualities that may or may not come up - just go prepared go the hiltSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... Just had a reply tweet from Martin Lewis, he does know about this situation and he's "working on it". I have to go to bed now, too tired to harrangue anybody else!0

Posted earlier but not working??? This is in reference to setting a legal precedence in Small Claims in a Sheriff Court in Scotland, this could be submitted in a English District Court as part of the UK a Scottish Sheriff Court is higher than a District Court.
Now watch Oranges next move - settle all accounts registered in Scotland as a priority. Got family & friends in Scotland? Change your billing address on my account https://web.orange.co.uk/r/login/ click yourdetails tab then billingSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... If your service provider has a term in your contract which says they disown statements made by sales staff, that would be un unfair contract term.
If the statement made by the sales person is false and it influenced your decision to buy the service, this is called misrepresentation. If this is the case, you can cancel your contract without charges and may be able to take legal action for compensation. A false statement which influenced your decision to enter into a contract is also an example of an unfair commercial practice. This is a criminal offence.
If this has happened, you should report the company to Trading Standards.

Not only are OFCOM sticking their heads in the sand this is a serious breach of contract.:mad::mad:

For anyone interested I have been CUT OFF, BLOCKED, DISCONNECTED from my broadband and email account since Monday this week
Finally I got told yesterday that they will have me back on in 24 hours as it was a 'mistake' I was cut off
So if anyone here knows the full ins and outs surely they have now broken the law with me???? :money:
I am holding my breath to see if it comes back on today. So far I've had 5 days of not being able to work as my jobs come to me via my email account so am £1000 (£200 a day) down so far!!!!

Hi,
So a nice size claim for compensation into Orange then.
I would definately call exec office.
Did you have any letters giving you a disconnect date of beyond this week ? if so that would be mighty useful to your case !
