1) Continuation of my 'inclusive' BB until the end of my mobile contract.
2) Penalty free cancellation of my mobile contract, but only if accompanied by a letter of apology from orange.

SNAP !

But would prefer the continuation of BB ( potential email address problems ).

I'd say you may get offered 2, as this is something that has already been offered, but hell will freeze over before you get 1 or 3. :rotfl:

Who got offered 2? Cancellation of contract.
• got phone call from orange special team, offered to match bt basic line rental till end of mobile contract (8 months)and they would pay bt charges, then it would be put to normal price and it would be 18 months contract plus would have to renew mobile contract when it ran out, turned this offer down and asked for them to end mobile contract with no penalty charge,or to change my mobile to cheaper tariff, but could not get any where with the mobile just intrested in me taking orange line rental

My latest email from Ofcom contained the following;

"Orange has advised us that since the initial promotion, free broadband has not been actively promoted when mobile contracts have been renewed. If we see evidence to the contrary, we will raise this with Orange for further discussion."

To all on this forum who can swear blind that since the initial offer that they were promised the Free Broadband when they came to renew their contracts over the last six years, can you please send an email to

OCCtelecoms@ofcom.org.uk

FAO Sandra Sutton,

stating that you were told the FBB continued contrary to Orange's blatant lie to Ofcom.

Please fell free to quote my Ofcom ref 1-217098157

I got the above after badgering them as to why they were simply taking Orange at their word, when forum after forum contains statements to the contrary.

Lets give them the evidence they need.

Please PM me when you do, (a simple done it will do J ) as I shall be in contact with her asking if they NOW have enough evidence to believe the folk they're meant to be protecting.
Some idea of the number of emails they will have received will definitely strengthen the case.
If PM’s ain’t your thing then please post on the forum.

Something simple on the lines of ….

"It has come to my attention that Ofcom are seeking information and evidence that counters Orange’s statement to Ofcom, whereby they deny actively promoting Free Broadband when it came to renewal of mobile contracts after the initial offering.
I can state that this is not the case and when I came to renew in dd/mm/yy.(approx date will do.)
I was categorically assured that I would be keeping the Free Broadband.
The Free Broadband is the only reason I stayed with Orange and did not seek a more competitive mobile deal. It was what induced me into continuing the mobile contract.”

Whats the count?

That's all the special team do - you will need to pursue a proper complaint to get to speak to people who will talk - as per post 1445

..

Sorry should of said an early upgrade.. not a cancellation. Somebody was offered a new 24 month term with their existing contract period time reduced i believe a few pages back.

Indeed.. The special team is an out sourced Broadband sales team only... They have no relation to Orange, access to mobile accounts or authority to discuss anything but moving your line, or requesting your MAC code.

Like others I've just been sent the new terms and conditions. That's the final straw! Adds insult to injury.

Phoned for my MAC code. I'm told it will be 2 - 5 days or after that I can ring them as they will have the details on their system. Watch this space.

Come the time to renew my mobile contacts, I have 3 of them, I'll shop around and see what I can get.

Customer loyalty after all of this . . . . . . .

They have to issue it within 5 days, all ISP's do

"If you want to move from one provider to another, you'll need to ask for a migration authorisation code, more commonly called a MAC code. It holds the details for your address and line, and your new provider will need it to be able to move your service. From the date of requesting the MAC code, your existing provider has up to 5 working days to provide this to you. Thereafter the code is viable for 30 days."

Their 'mission' is just to get the line rental! not even orange! the specials/highland/outbound team.

As I have already posted, I have tired of this Sisyphean struggle to retain my promised 'free' Orange broadband, and I am migrating to BT........ that is, once Orange provide my long overdue requested MAC code.

It now occurs to me.... will I lose my longstanding freeserve email address, or can I keep this ? It will be another barb in my side if I have to notify all my address contacts of a new email address. In a fit of pique at losing the business, will Orange also delete this ?

Does anyone have the answer ?
