Are you self employed selling your crafts tinkwings or do you work as well? Only reason I ask is because I'm the laziest person I know- couldn't imagine coming home from work to do more work! It's inspiring! :)

I gave up employment in Spetember 2012. I used to do both then wanted to take away the stress so gave up employment & became a self employed stay at home mum :o:o

For those ladies who use the clear blue monitor, does it tell you like a 'medium' sort of level before you get to the peak so you can tell you are leading up to ov? Because I have such irregular cycles on the odd occasion I've ov at a decent time we've almost missed it because I wasn't expecting it so it might be useful for me to get more if a warning I was thinking. Only problem is I think the sticks might cost me a fortune if I have a long cycle so perhaps I should just stick to my opks.

Sorry not sure if anyone has answered you Claire16c, but yes the cbfm readings are low, high (when gearing up for OV) and peak.
Takes all the guessing out of it. Practically high or peak equals dtd.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

Don't you just pay your taxes here? And not have to pay any back there now?

Hope you can work it out! My sister moved to Canada her visa forms were bad enough!

As a US citizen I have to file, even though I won't have to pay anything nor will I get any refund. I'm very very tempted to just say screw it and not file. I haven't been in the UK for a full calendar tax year for the US (1 jan through 31 dec), so I cannot exclude my income from the UK for the 2 1/2 months that I worked here. I'm still well under the threshold and wouldn't need to pay anything though.

I've determined that I cannot make toast any longer and I've burned dinner in the slow cooker. DH is eating whatever he can find and make and I'm just not eating. I'm fed up with everything at the moment and feel like no matter what I do, the universe will move against me, so what's the point in trying to do anything.

I'm sure being a SAHM means you might as well be classed as full time employed! :) I *think* I might go an pick up my sewing machine and start sewing again... Then again... lol...
  • My OH demanded a four slice toaster for a wedding gift as he was 'stressed out' making our breakfast with the humble two slice- pahaha. I CANNOT USE THE BLOODY THING without setting off our smoke alarms- I'm sure we're domestic goddesses in other ways Mrs TM. Try not to be too down on yourself!
  • Evening ladies, TGIF!!!!! So I'm finishing off a rather unhealthy week with a bang - wine and pizza :D I will be good tomorrow, I promise!!

Have "treated" myself and ordered one of those digital thermometers today :rotfl:

Don't know if it's the same with anyone else but when I was on the pill when it was my TOTM it would last 5 days without fail, now im not taking the pill it's 2 - 3 days, I always thought the pill was meant to make it better, seems its the other way round for me!!

Sorry I don't reply to everyone, I mean to and read everyones updates but then forget when I come to reply :o

TACOD ( love the name btw ) that sounds awful and very traumatic, im sorry you had to go through that xx

tinkwings they're lovely! I wish I was more arty, the only thing im good at is baking but I haven't even had time for that lately :(

Hugs to anyone that needs them xx

Does anyone get ovulation pains that you can determine which side you're ovulating on? I used to be able to feel pains on whichever side egg was coming from (before contraceptives) but now without fail every month I only feel the pains on my right side- I've had them for over a week now... Not sure if TTC for so long has just made me hyper aware of everything (except my left ovary...) or if it's normal to have a week of ovulation pain?

We have decided to make an appointment with the GP about my weight and depression, hopefully it will help. While I'm there I'm going to see if they can schedule me to have a smear, and see if they can test me for gluten sensitivity and type 2 diabetes. Might also speak to them about getting a scan to see if there are any cysts anywhere. Since it is mostly going to be about my weight (I'm in the 280's and I'm 5 ft 3 inches), so is there anything I should take with me? I'll have my phone, so my ff stuff will be with me, but should I make out a list of goals to prove to them that I'm not just trying to waste their time? Anything else I should do?

Can you tell that I freak out whenever I need to visit a doctor? I'm still not used to the fact that I can go to the doctor. I couldn't even visit the doctor in the states because I had no insurance and wasn't working enough to be able to afford an office visit (standard charge was $120, approx £80-90, without any tests).

    Thanks in advance.
