    I've been Money Tipped!
Thanks girls for all the hugs, much much better today and have my PMA back. I just struggle that I've had to have scans, swabs, needles and Drs looking up my bits and all DH has to do is give a SA which is hardly unpleasant!!!! On my longest cycle so far now but I can deal with that now I know.

Elsie - fab news about your DHs SA! Fingers crossed they all get through to the egg now! :)

vic - hope you ovulate soon. I used to be a late ovulater (when I actually did :o) so I understand your frustration.

Mrs_T_M that's happened to us once and I was so upset and took it very personally. When I thought about it logically, we were both under so much pressure it was unsurprising.

maire I hope you are next on our BFP list :)

angeltreats how did your appointment go?

squ1rrel glad work is good (even though it's crazy) and helping to take your mind off TTC. Love to you xx

TCD when (if!!) my next cycle starts I am going to take AC. So I'll join you!

Tinks glad you have a plan for this cycle. Those cakes look sooo lovely! SMEP is my plan for next cycle when it comes.

Claire - I have no issue starting a new thread - how does everyone else feel about that? Re CBFM I am currently on the trial and when I found out about my PCOS I emailed them and they said it's not designed for ladies who have it or those with long and irregular cycles. It hasn't picked up a peak for me at all and stopped asking for sticks at around CD24 which is stupid because I have ovulated a lot later than that. Just to give you another side. I won't be buying one, I'll stick to my cheapie OPKs.

Amy - thanks for your lovely reply. We had a long chat tonight and have sorted things I *think*. I'm not holding my breath until he has done the SA though.

    Hi T2D xx

fannyanna glad your scan went well, will you get the results? I'm another one that has no issue with lady stuff these days xx

    Birdie - I miss QQ too x
    How are you?

    Happy weekend ladies

Mrs TM good luck with your appointment, I'm sure once you've been you'll be really glad you went

I've never had any shame so the dildo cams don't bother me, although it always feel weird when they're trying to get it in lol when I had my miscarriage I was embarrassed about the bleeding but she seemed completely unconcerned, so so was I :) when I had the HyCoSy the lady made me hold my right side so I asked why, cos I often get what I think are ov pains there and she went 'no it's just bowel gas' :rotfl:

Oh and speaking of embarrassment, the big move is imminent so was speaking to mum about furniture arrangements. She was adamant that our bed go on the opposite wall to the one that adjoins their bedroom, kept saying she didn't want us to hear them snoring. It's only just occurred to me that she's using that as a cover for not wanting to hear us have sex

We have decided to make an appointment with the GP about my weight and depression, hopefully it will help. While I'm there I'm going to see if they can schedule me to have a smear, and see if they can test me for gluten sensitivity and type 2 diabetes. Might also speak to them about getting a scan to see if there are any cysts anywhere. Since it is mostly going to be about my weight (I'm in the 280's and I'm 5 ft 3 inches), so is there anything I should take with me? I'll have my phone, so my ff stuff will be with me, but should I make out a list of goals to prove to them that I'm not just trying to waste their time? Anything else I should do?

Can you tell that I freak out whenever I need to visit a doctor? I'm still not used to the fact that I can go to the doctor. I couldn't even visit the doctor in the states because I had no insurance and wasn't working enough to be able to afford an office visit (standard charge was $120, approx £80-90, without any tests).

    Thanks in advance.

What I found helpful when I started off going to the doctors about TTC was the following:
    1. a list of my cycle dates and lengths since TTC to show the crazy variations
    2. any changes in my cycles I had noticed
    3. record of BD dates in relation to cycles
    4. dates started TTC
    5. supplements taken and health improvements made
    6. existing health problems
    7. the effect it was having on me mentally

My GP was not interested at all in BBT.

When I've gone in the past about my PCOS/ weight/ acne/ coping with bereavement I've made sure to do the following prior to my appointment:
    1. the symptoms I have had/ worried about
    2. food and exercise diary to show changes made (was prescribed sibutramol which has since been banned in the UK as it can cause heart attacks!)
    3. any changes that have occurred recently
    4. what help you are looking for and the outcome you would like.

I write everything down before I go. With you going for two things I would make sure you write down everything that is concerning you about your weight and depression, book two appointments back to back and really talk to your GP. I'm lucky in that my GP is really nice and he has said to me he much prefers patients coming in prepared rather than seeking a magic bullet that just doesn't exist. If you can show why you're asking for diabetes/ gluten tests (e.g. link-able symptoms- like excessive thirst/ digestive problems etc.) and a reason why you believe you may have cysts there's no reason why they shouldn't run the tests though unfortunately they may not offer treatment for fertility until you reach BMI of 30.

I really hope you get the resolution you're after from the doctor and hope you have people around you offering you support.

The US healthcare system absolutely terrifies me- I fear the NHS will go the same way... especially with some of the changes I have seen in my workplace.

Thanks TCD - yes sorry CD17 was Thursday; just keeping fingers crossed really......

I think you bd at the best times. Yes you could have done it once more but I wouldn't blame you for not after 4 days in a row! Anyway by that day you had probably ovulated so I think it's best to bd before that so the sperm has time to get there.

Hmm I like the sound of getting a 'high' warning on the clear blue but not if it won't accept sticks after day24! No point for me in that case. Also I'm guessing it asks for sticks fairly early on in the cycle which i know I would just be wasting.

Tea cake I think on the home health website there is an explanation next to the descriptions of opks about false positives & pcos. I would order the sticks they suggest & bin the ones you have after this cycle if I was you. Then hopefully you will only get true positives. They're the same price. But in the mean time bd & keep temping!
  • Hi everyone.
I haven't had time to read through everything but can you take me off the awaiting ov list please?

And can you list me CD4
    Thanks

So angry with DH right now. Met him at the train station and tried to kiss him hello and he pulled away saying I stink of alcohol. I've had 2 pints and one mojito and now feel really humiliated.
