Watching OBEM and lurking on here ;) Lots of pregnancies this month, congratulations to all the Jan graduates :)
Tomorrow is Day 28 from start of withdrawal bleed for me. This month we've not been "trying" as such mainly because you can never predict how long the hormones will take to kick in after coming off the pill. Also because we've all had the flu this month. Still anything is possible ;). After AF arrives we'll go for ttc #2 properly. I hope those of you lovely ladies who are having to wait another month to POAS take some comfort from all the BFPs lately. My close friends all took over a year to get pregnant the first time and the second one was quicker. Each month is like rolling a dice. The chance of rolling a six the first time is slim but keep trying and it will happen. One of my friends needed Clomid to get pregnant the first time. 18 months after coming off pill she still had no AF! However after having her baby her cycles were normal and she got pregnant again quickly.

  • Hello ladies - congratulations to all those of you who have got BFPs this month and hugs to those the witch got.

Could you please remove me from the lists? I don't post nearly as much as I used to (can't get on at work and really busy at the moment) so it feels wrong just to swoop in saying "CD1" or "3DPO" - tody's my first post in three weeks and my PMA hasn't really improved to be honest, so I don't have much to add to the thread.

I wish you all the stickiest of BFPs

    xx

Heh, you say that but I am absolutely drenched with tears after watching that. The worry in the dads face when they got concerned about babies heart-rate...I don't think you truly understand that sort of pain unless you've been there.

Not going to watch it again because all the whinging teengers annoy me :o

Around ov your cervix should feel high, soft and open.

Typically after ov it drops down, closes again and becomes harder. But this changes from woman to woman. Checking your cervix is the most unreliable pregnancy sign there is.

I dont even check it for ovulation or anything because I tried it a couple of times and the whole thing just confuses me and I think Id just imagine it to be whatever I wanted it to feel like, plus Im squeamish :rotfl:Also I freaked out I might think at ov that it was closed and worry the sperm wouldnt be able to get through!

Is there a way to help ease pain of ovulation? Mine normally is just a bit of a twinge, but this cycle has gone all out with full blown cramps. I don't want to take anti inflammatories nor use a heating pad if possible, and paracetamol doesn't effect pain in me. :(

My mom sent over a game for the Wii that I forgot to grab while we were visiting the States last November (Wii Fit Plus) and DH is playing on it currently. I told him that I was enjoying watching him since I get such a nice view (he's in nothing but his boxers, silly thing!). :rotfl:

Laughing at and with him isn't helping the cramping though! Hopefully I can just bear it until bedtime and I will hopefully be able to sleep through the worst of it. Definitely on my left side this time. Ever since I've been keeping up with it, probably 6 months or so, I've only ever ov'ed on my left side... No clue what's up with that if anything.

Congrats to everyone who has had good news, and hugs to everyone who needs them!

Sounds strange but I love ovulation pain normally because Im so relieved when I ovulate! Im like yes Im ovulating bring it on :rotfl:
Mrs T_M have you tried lying with your feet up against a wall? Sounds ridiculous- the only way I can explain it is imagine you're a L, your feet are the top of the L, your bum is the 'corner' (and against the wall) and your head is the tail of the L.... this helps me with period cramps so might help with ov pain.

Becca glad I'm not the only sadist who sits beating herself up at OBEM... I have no idea why I do this to myself- I'm just sat here completely bitter despite this couple's terrible first experience. I am truly awful.

That reminds me of a book my mum gave me when I was about 10 all about periods and it had a girl lying in that position on one page! I remember trying it in my bedroom as a teenager and I had really bad period pain! I dont really think it worked for me but its worth a try.

I havent watched todays yet Ive recorded it. I used to watch every episode up until my miscarriage. Ive watched one since and decided Im going to try to watch it again because I used to enjoy watching it and want to go back to feeling like that, if I can.

Keep spotting and getting annoyed now. Since my period on the 18th I have been only had 2 days without period or spotting.
