I never used to get spotting then suddenly started getting 2 days before AF. If I think about it, I think the pill definitely messed up my body. Wish I'd never taken it.
If I ever have a daughter I will do my utmost to make sure she doesn't go on the pill- seeing as there's only a 25% (or thereabouts) chance of getting pregnant on any one cycle she can learn to use a sodding condom! :eek:
I totally blame the pill for masking my pcos/ endometriosis for the 7 years I was on it- despite the fact that I kept going to the doctors with 'classic' symptoms and being fobbed off with different types of sodding pill. If I can't get pregnant because of them and the pill masked it I'll go batsh*t crazy! :mad:

Congrats to the BFPs :T0 -

It seems to be the doctor's go-to thing for menstrual problems. Patient presenting with symptoms of PCOS/endo/prolactinaemia = put immediately on pill. In my case, it did make me batsh*t crazy.
skint, opks work best for me at night.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
So can I do one if I go up to bed now?
And then do them a bit earlier from now on?:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I've always been in favour of morning pee -for both opks and hpts. I've found most of my positive results on both have been in the morning. Also I like to know early on in the day if I'm either about to ovulate (so can plan some BD time) or pg (so can recover from the shock).
I know others have other views though.0 -
My body seems to be slower and I get my best results about 7-8pm.
I think opks are meant to be done in the afternoon or evening because you can get false results in the morning, whereas your concentration of HCG is stronger in FMU because it's more concentrated. But we women are strange creatures and I don't think there's a one size fits all solution.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Speaking about pg symptoms, a lot of them are exactly the same as pre menstrual. last month I woke up on christmas day with sore boobs convinced I was getting a special christmas present from the baby-fairies and it was just AF on its way. This month no sore boobs at all (until today - or is that just psychological) so just goes to show you can't tell. Although with my first, I was two days late for my period and remember feeling absolutely shattered, the kind of tiredness where you can barely lift your head, and I was pg and had no idea.
Then again I could have been tired for a million other reasons too.
The proper symptoms, like morning sickness, don't tend to come on til around 6 weeks or so. I remember that the sore boobs stuck around for a while and was very reassuring, I kept subtly feeling myself up when no one was looking to make sure I was still pregnant!0 -
AF can go and come back thats normal. But seems early to get a positive opk unless you normally ovulate early?
Could you do a pregnancy test incase?
As my periods have been irregular for the last couple of months I have no idea when I ovulate. My last cycle I started opks on cd15 as that was when they arrived and this cycle lasted 25 days. I thought I got a postitive opk on cd21 which I cant have if my cycle was only 25 days!
Im on CD 11 today. I don't think my last post was clear, sorry. I finished my period on cd6 and then two days after that I have been spotting.MFW 2016 No 68 £1300/£8500 No new toiletries Cook sth different0
