i caved & bought boots own brand ovks - i was concerned the cheap ebay ones were difficult to actually 100% read the result!
boots ovk said you can test anytime of the day, so I did one this morning - should I do another 2nite or leave it until 2moro?
hugs to anyone who needs one :-)
When you get a positive on the cheap ones they are easy to read, the line will be dark you wont miss it, so just keep using them and it will hopefully appear soon!
So if youve got some left I would keep using them. Even along with the boots one, then you can see if you get positives at the same time.firefly369 wrote: »Morning All,
Well today it is a year since I got my implant out and started ttc and today is also cd1. Not a great day. Will pick myself up tomorrow but today I will let myself wallow, start taking AC and chocolate will be consumed!
Great posts Tinks, Birdie and Claire.
Lilymay - Well done on the 12lbs in such a short time. I wish my body would give it up that fast.
Sorry for CD1.
Maybe month 13 in 2013 will be lucky for you?0 -
Hi all
*hugs* for CD1
Gp phoned this morning to confirm my bloods were fine. She has already referred us on. Maybe around 3 months for appointments.
Just keeping at it any way and hope in the mean time.0 -

You can use any OPK's at any time of the day, but your body doesn't synthesise LH until later on in the day so you won't get a true result if you test in the morning.
Cheap OPK's are just as good as expensive ones and as Claire said, it is very clear when they are positive. You also don't feel guilty about using 2 or 3 a day.
On a side note, CD10 for me and a + OPK. Yipee!
Firefly: I am very pleased with my weight loss. I've really worked hard with exercise and my diet is now very restricted. So life is very boring at the moment but I am sheding the pounds! How is everyone else doing?14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
thanks for all the well wishes guys, DH is very happy with his little self
January is a good month so far, got confirmation i don't need to pay anything on the old car (had a letter about no payment in dec but was crossed wires, worried i'd have to pay 208 quid), grandad in law has said we can store stuff at his house so no need to pay for storage, and looking at my utilities statements i should be getting about 300 quid back from them- i'm very non mse and i just go with whatever direct debit figure they tell me as it makes my life easier lol
so 2013 has started properously for us and i hope it continues that way
babysat last night for the auntie who had a really hard struggle and a long wait for her children, she seems to have been rewarded for her patience and strength by having two wonderfully behaved lovely sleepers so hopefully that'll be the same for us all
still getting intermittent EWCM, i really do give up guessing now! AF will come when she comes lol
large hugs for CD1, i don't think the hormone drop helps with the depressive mood AF puts you in lol Firefly you're my clomid-in-march buddy aren't you? how many cycles have you had in the twelve months? it comforts me to think that whilst we've been trying 18 months i've only ovulated about 5 times. so really i'm only 5 cycles in and if it takes twelve cycles for normal people to get pregnant then technically TECHNICALLY i'm still within normal range. if that makes any sense at all lol
lilymay i was doing so well last week but this week is awful for food! made the mistake of treating myself so the sugar addiction kicked back in. been really knackered and knees are sore so no gym eitherbut i'll go tonight friday and saturday running so that'll be my three so Abis won't shout :rotfl:
went for tea to celebrate last night, he chose TGI's and whilst i had the lowest gi food i could find on the menu (the sweet potato fries are seriously addictive) the calories were sky high!Little Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

TeamLowe if it makes you feel any better I've been rubbish this week. It started so well on Monday. Went to the gym then on my way home I got a really bad sore throat and by yesterday morning it was a full cold. Couldn't go to zumba because I was a snotty mess and today my sinuses hurt if I so much as move so no gym today. And I've just been eating whatever is easier .to prepare along with a million lozenges just so I don't feel like I'm swallowing razor blades. Stupid body. The worst thing was I felt this coming last week and didn't do anything to fix it in the hope that confusing my immune system might help implantation. Sigh.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Yup, the FS promised me clomid in March. I have just checked FF and I have had 9 cycles in a year. Anywhere between 30 and 46 days. No month is the same. I am really glad I was temping right from the beginning or those longer cycles would have given me a lot of false hope and disappointment.
My weighloss has stalled at the moment. I knew when I bloated like a puffer fish yesterday and my temp dropped that the witch was on her way. I won't be getting on the scales till af is over because I know it is only retained water that will vanish along with af in 3/4 days.
Thanks for the hugs ladies. I know this mood only lasts cd1 for me and then I go back to normal0 -
I've been decidedly so-so diet-wise.
Trying to cut down on rubbish but haven't managed to become saint-like overnight! Been walking a lot more and played badminton twice this week, lost 4lbs last week when I weighed in on Friday but I'm fairly sure that was just getting rid of the AF bloat! I'll have to see what the scales say this week!
Big hugs for CD1 Firefly and I hope you feel better soon CodeOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Hugs to everyone who's had a visit from AF recently. I've got another ten days or so until I test, although I will probably end up doing what I did last month and test early, even if I get a chem, decided that I would prefer to get a chem and know I've conceived than not test and miss one.
diet going suprisingly ok, lost 3lbs so far so that's half of my xmas weight, only 8lbs to go until I'm at my fertile weight (bmi 27) although ideally I'd lose a further half a stone after that too.
Only problem is, I am really good all day until evening when I'm lying in bed reading and then I crave sweets - had half a tube of fruit pastilles last night, but if that's what I need to be good 99% of the time I'll maybe just give in to that craving if its only a few.
Hope everyone's doing ok. I keep thinking that I'm in a bit of a rut at the mo, general january blues etc, and wouldn't a pregnancy make everything better, but its pure escapism really I just need to accept my life as it is!0 -
Hello,
Oh gosh I get so behind when I don't post for a couple of days!!
Tinks - that made me cry this morning even tho I've seen it and read it a couple of times before. Might print it off to remind me where I am headed, and I do forget the scenery sometimes:o:o
For those ladies struggling to interpret IC OPK's - heres my months for you to look at:
I used to think they didn't work for me, or that I was using them wrong but the main crime I have is giving up on using them too early in the month. I do it every day between 2-3pm as thats when I get in from work, so its a good time. You shouldn't do them on a morning (most brands, I think clear blue digi ones can be done on a morning).
As you can see today is +ve :j:j Let the BDing commence. We BD last night, so hope DH has it in him to keep going for the next 3 days:o:o
Well done for those ladies dieting or exercising :T:T:T:T Teamlowe - I know what you mean - I'm even shouting at myself :rotfl::rotfl: I did zumba on mon & tue night this week which I am super proud of - but now sort of panicking to myself on when I am going to do the 3rd lot of exercising:o I had been biking to work - but I don't think so in this weather
Well done to MrTeamLowe btw  Sounds like it is gonna work out fab :j I like whoever said that you have all your duckies in a row nicely now:cool:
Big hugs for the CD1 ladiesHope its the last you see of the witch for 2013.
Welcome to any newbies I keep missing. Hope your stays are short & sweet.
Hows COMP doing? Thinking of you x
As for the pill question - first time I came off it I never got a period, but got a BFP after about 7-8 weeks :j:j This time after coming off it I think it took 5-6 weeks for a period, and 16 months on they are still completely irregular and annoyingI know its hard, but try to have a little patience
At the beginning of the journey everything is just so thrilling and you just want to be pregnant RIGHT NOW. And whilst for those of us on slightly longer journeys would still like to be pregnant right now, we realise that sometimes you have to just chill out and be a little more patient (altho this is easier on some days than others)
We've just booked a big family farmhouse for my mums 60th in april complete with hot tub. So I very much hope I can't enjoy any alcohol or the hot tub cos I am pregnant. I must NOT indulge in any more fantasies about handing out successful scan pics whilst we are away tho:o:o:o:o:o:o:o
