(some of us wish we was only two stone over the healthy bmi range if that helps lol)
but you're doing so well code! you're off your butt doing something and you have to have a starting point. i have a mammoth amount to lose so i find mini goals help- how long to the next bmi point, next stone bracket, i do mine in 10% chunks.
find a little goal that feels achievable and work towards that. then once it's a achieved it'll give you a great boost and you can focus on the next goal :)

Correction I do have EWCM after all!

Not sure if I am 1dop on the day I get the smiley or the day after, can anyone advise?

    Thanks

The smiley face indicates a surge in LH. In turn, the increase in LH triggers ovulation. Most women ovulate 24-36 hours after their first smiley face. So, if you get a + today, you may ovulate tomorrow or the day after. So 1dpo could be as late as Sunday for you.

another gym session done. Would be feeling good but stood on the scales in the gym and it's bad. Really really bad. I'm 2 stone over the weight that puts me in the healthy BMI range. Sob. The good news is that because I'm tall, I'm still in the overweight range (just).

I saw some research that says that fertility may be impacted at BMIs above 27. So although the healthy upper BMI is 25 sounds like we get a couple of extra points leeway! Hope that helps Code.

I'm motivating myself to diet by setting myself a weight that's my 'fertile weight' and a time to get there, then every week I am thinking to myself only x more weeks until I'm at my fertile weight.

It seems to be working as I'm on day 5 of atkins now, gone into ketosis and no longer hungry, although its way too early to notice any difference in my body and I'm trying not to weigh myself more than twice a month.

Thanks that's brilliant advice. I know compared to some it's not so bad but if I keep gaining weight at this rate it's not going to be long until they're going to be removing the walls to get me out.

I'm starting slowly so this week is all about getting me to the gym and next week I will ease in the no junk food rule. Have been so tired this week though. Can't seem to keep my eyes open. After I'm in the routine of gym at least 3 days a week and eating better, I will start focusing on the weight loss aspect more.

only 2 points to go. Have to say when I was in the gym feeling myself weaken I was thinking of a cot and me holding a baby to remind myself of the reasons I'm doing this.

Sounds like you're doing really well.

Hugs, babydust and calorie free, fertility enhancing chocolate to all.

    Clomid infused chocolate - there's a thought!
  • Hi Ladies,

Good luck for those exercising and loosing your weight. You are doing great. I'm very jealous. My jeans are way too tight so should really be doing something.

Re the CBFM - I used it when I conceived my DD. I think I got pregnant on the 3rd or 4th cycle of using it. It doesn't always ask you to poas so early, it is just until it gets used to your cycle. Then it gives you a low, high and then a peak reading. Once it goes back to low after peak, you don't need to pee on the stick again, and you just let it know if you get AF then it sets to CD1. I stupidly forgot to get some new batteries for mine, so not using it this month.

I watched half of the Baby Makers last night, before iPlayer kicked me out. Was very interesting - so hopefully watch the rest tonight. DD is having an epic 3 hour nap, so I've got loads of paperwork and boring banking stuff done, so will wake her now and have a play before tea.

    Hi everyone

I just wanted to let you know that I decided not to test today. I am concerned that I have got my OV date wrong and that therefore today would be too early, plus I have no signs of pregnancy at all. (I usually notice Montgomery's tubercules, darkened areolas, sore boobs and a lump in my tummy)

So I have decided I probably did not manage it this cycle, but that I will wait and watch until after the weekend.

Today is only CD25 and I have a 32-day cycle, so I think it makes sense to wait, but I do suspect it isn;t happening for me this cycle.

So, let's put me on the testing list for Jan 15 for now.

Thanks, seeing as I won't know for sure am I best to assume tomorrow then?

Probably. I tend to ovulate the day after positive opk but it could be it takes a bit longer. Although a couple of times I've ovulated the same day. So yeah go for tomorrow as an average.

If you temp you can tell but it's prob too late to do that now. Plus as long as you're bding it doesn't really matter! Only other thing would be to do more opks but I would just now wait the 2 weeks & see what happens!

Hmm. I duno. I would maybe check your cervical mucus and when that dries up, count that as 1dpo. At what time today did you get a + OPK?

It really doesn't make a huge amount of difference in the grand scheme of things...
