sorry amus, onwards and upwards though!

becca I have fingers and toes crossed

I'm doing nothing for nye, I find it a bit of a damp squib when I do do something so me and DH are staying in with some m and s party food.

which is good really, would only have spent the night worrying about kitty although he should have his catheter out tomorrow but still mainly blood when he wees :(

ewcm has come back so hopefully a 42 day cycle, think I'll end up like lilymay and be part way through a cycle when they give me Clomid so I'll have to wait even longer and it'll already be ten months since my first appointment. left the last one so hopeful I wouldn't need it too :( x x

    Hi Ladies

Hope everyone is as ok as can be expected?

Hi Scaps- I also use the same ones as purcy and vic, they have been fine for me and picked up on ov on xmas eve :D

Becca and Firefly - I also used to take AC - don't anymore because a.) I ran out! b.) it tastes vile! but most of all c.) it worked for what I wanted it to, my cycles are between 27 and 29 days and if my opks are to be believed I ov around cd16 so I'd say it's worth a try! Finger crossed still for you though!!

Amus - sorry for the bfn - ((hugs))

TeamLowe - we are doing the same and staying in with some nice food and our kitty - sorry to hear your kitty is poorly,I wish they could talk then we'd know exactly how to make them feel better, hope he gets well soon xx ETA: our kitty got over excited running around the house yesterday and ran into the door and now she has a fat lip *rolls eyes*!

Claire - I have also developed a pretty keen line eye for opks!! "is it there?" "isn't it?" etc etc ad nauseum!!

Big hugs to all and a very very happy and fertile new year to all of us!!!!

    Hi TCD,

Is this your first chart? Although your temps are techincally rising and then dropping it is only in very small amounts. Were you temping during your last luteal phase because your temps don't seem high enough to be in your luteal phase just now. Your day 1 temp is 36.20 but none on your 'luteal phase' temps this month have come anywhere close to that. My instincts say that you haven't ovulated yet but I am no expert.

Sleep deprivation and irractic sleeping patterns do have and effect on temps tho it varies from women to women. Usually you need to have more than three hours uninteruppted sleep for your body temp to drop to bbt levels and then you must temp before you get out of bed and start moving around.

Do you normally have 'symptoms' before/after ovulation and have you experienced any of them this time around?

Hi Firefly. I have temped before but never used FF and all of my months of data was wiped off my phone when I upgraded so I don't have the details anymore. :( Post ovulation temps used to be 36.5-36.8 easily. My mum thinks I'm dooming myself because I won't put the heating on (extra layers will do fine is my argument)- this sounds crazy in my rational mind but the doubts are creeping in! :)

When I've temped in the past I've always had a definite upwards trend of temps- never had a chart as flat as this before! I've removed the day one temp- no idea where that came from to be honest as I only started using this Duo monitor on CD8. Duo seem to think I've ovulated as do FF. I did have some pains and EWCM but my chart is completely throwing me and I'm thinking that either I haven't ovulated, I've had an anovulatory cycle or my sleep pattern has completely knackered my chart. Pffff.

I'm going to email Duo and ask them what they think- maybe their software has accidentally said I've ovulated or maybe they need to adjust my temps to match my rubbish sleep pattern...

hehe that made me laugh, when Rocky was a kitten he was always running full pelt into furniture and sometimes humans lol he's currently sulking upstairs as he managed to get the cone off for the second time. I let him give his front a clean as he seemed desperate to do it then put the cone back on. he was having a cuddle with me and purring but after that he's stayed upstairs doing his pathetic look lol
and I feel like a bad kitty mummy but it does amuse me when he bangs the cone into things lol x x

We aren't planning on doing anything for nye other than staying up until midnight. Boring huh?

Anyway, I'm finally on the laptop, so I'm posting a link to my chart (hopefully) if anyone would like to take a look. I forgot to temp yesterday! It's in degrees Fahrenheit instead of Celsius, sorry.

Normal pre-ov temp is 98.1F, post-ov is typically 98.5F, but can go as high as 99F.

Ovulation appears to be on the way.Never been pleased to see CM and got a stronger OPK.

    BD to commence! :D
Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month
  • TCD - As long as you are doing the same thing consistantly at night then it shouldn't impact you temps. It will be intersting to see how Duo interpret your temps.

Mrs T_M - I have added you as a friend on FF. :)

Thanks Nic and Hopelass for the AC info. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a BFP this month but I'm not feeling very hopeful at the moment.

I'm so glad I have you ladies to talk to about all this stuff or I might just go insane with a combo of side effects, frustration and hormones:eek:

I have been so painfully moody the last 2 or 3 days. I don't recall this happening at ov before but I am feeling well and truly carp at the moment. Nothing excites me anymore and even stuff I used to enjoy bores me. Christ, I must be an awful person to be around at the moment. Poor DH :(

Becca - I can only think that you didn't actually ovulate on CD14. 8 or 9 days early does seem rather strange. How long are your cycles usually? When will you be officially late? Maybe go and see a GP when you are 7 days late and ask them to do a blood test to be sure.

Vic - Hope the bloods go okay.

TCD - Lots of things can impact your temps which is why medical professionals don't think they are worth the paper they're printed on. For them, blood tests or scans are the only things that confirm ovulation. But as someone else said, as long as you are doing the same thing every night you should still get a pattern. Your chart looks strange to me though and If it were me I would assume I hadn't oved.

As for OPK's, i've recently been using the clearblue non-digital ones. I managed to pick up a couple of 7 packs for £1 each at my local chemist. Got a pregnancy test in there as well! Absolute bargain! They were short dated, hence the reduction, but it's not like they are going to suddenlt stop working is it. I find they work well for me and I can always tell with certainty when it's a positive.

Teamlowe - I feel your pain with mid-cycle clomid. My appointment was CD10 and it's like teasing a dog with a bone. I'm not even certain I have ov'ed this cycle either so if AF ends up being late I will be so mad!
