  • Hi everyone, I've just spent the past couple of hours wondering what the hell is going on with my bbt chart and think I've cocked up this month. I've been off work for nearly two weeks on annual leave and my sleep pattern has disappeared- not been going to bed until 3/4 in the morning. Would that knacker my post ov temps?

I've posted my FF chart... :)

    Hi ladies,

Not posted for a few days due to Christmas etc.

Sooooo been using my ovulation tests for 6 days now, few faint positives but I drink too much fluids in day to stop my intake for 2 hours before....I am prone to cystitus if I dont drink a lot. :o

No cervical mucus yet either for me..... looks like this month is going to be a long cycle!

For those that mentioned period tracker it told me I have a 29 average day cycle but that was because my period was 2 weeks late a while ago, its normally around 24 days.

Amazing how much you notice when you look for it, to be honest I never took much notice of discharge before :rotfl:

  • Hi TCD,

Is this your first chart? Although your temps are techincally rising and then dropping it is only in very small amounts. Were you temping during your last luteal phase because your temps don't seem high enough to be in your luteal phase just now. Your day 1 temp is 36.20 but none on your 'luteal phase' temps this month have come anywhere close to that. My instincts say that you haven't ovulated yet but I am no expert.

Sleep deprivation and irractic sleeping patterns do have and effect on temps tho it varies from women to women. Usually you need to have more than three hours uninteruppted sleep for your body temp to drop to bbt levels and then you must temp before you get out of bed and start moving around.

Do you normally have 'symptoms' before/after ovulation and have you experienced any of them this time around?

Do you only have a 7 day luteal phase? Or are you just ovulating later this cycle and therefore you won't get AF for another 2 weeks?

I agree with fire fly, go tomorrow say its cd21 but actually you don't think your going to ovulate til tomorrow so should you go back in a week instead as well.

Only have a 7/8 day LP so will expect AF next week. Thanks Lily, I forgot what you said. I will go for the test as normal tomorrow.

On the plus side, I have a huge dark line on my OPK, darker than the control line (CD 25) :D I also have a temp dip but I can't rely on that as I have been temping later than normal. EWCM last night too.
Shame hubby is poorly- i've drugged him (ibuprofen lol) so he might feel better later on.

Firefly, I have tweaked the home page. Can you see it now?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Lily - I had all the usual ov signs (for me), right cm which dried up afterwards & more importantly ov pains at the right time. I used to ovulate around cd22/23 when I was ovulating on my own. I've done opks since but nothing. Slightly darker lines than is usual for me but no positives.

  • Good luck for the test tomorrow vic. At least it gets you into "the system" if you need further investigating.

Hugs Becca - must be very frustrating for you. Whats the longest cycle you've had previously?

Afm, CD11 i think. On plan to BD tonight and Wednesday night, so fingers crossed we catch the egg. DH working crappy shifts doesn't help with well timed BD'ing and can only BD when DD is in bed!

Hope everyone is having a relaxed Sunday :)

the 21st one is to check you ovulated I think, so beware it may not come back to say that if you didnt ovulate at their textbook cd14 timings.

So some ladies ask to have it done at 7dpo, which might not be day 21.

If you arent sure when you are ovulating, and want to know, and your cycles are a bit crazy Id suggest you use opks, temping or looking at your CM, rather than just the phone app, which is most likely just using averages which doesnt always work out well if youre cycles are irregular.

Mine can be anything from 30-50 days and so fertility friend puts in green bits - when Im supposed to be fertile, on varying days each month depending on what happened the month before! I just ignore them and go on my bodies signs. I only use the website to put my temperatures in. But I dont use it to work out when Ill be ovulating the following month as that is anyones guess! :)

Are there any recommended ovulation kits?

Yes I can see it now. Well done:D

You chart still looks good. Although you have missed some data just before Xmas and have some sleep depreived days there is still a pretty obvious pattern. If you you ovulate within the 36 hour or so you should see your temps shoot up and still get a biphasic chart.
