Hi all, not been reading these last couple of weeks so lots to catch up on. DH has been struggling with the idea of being ready to ttc so I got a bit upset and have been trying to switch off from everything.

Becca can you please change me on the list to CD2

Month 2 of ttc...here we come. I'm amazed that first month off the pill AF has started on exactly the same day as it would have normally. The regularity is obviously good but does at mean that i can assume all is working mid-cycle?

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and has fun plans for tonight (have to be honest I've never really enjoyed new year)...here's wishing everyone big fat squishy babes in arms for this time next year x

kte a regular cycle is a great sign that your hormones are doing what they should, you can not have a proper period* without ovulation so yay for a predicted AF :j

vic3 in my area they have a drop in phlebotomy clinic at the hospital. you get a pot and a bag with what they want on it from the doctors, take it there and they take the blood and send the results to your doctor. does your area not have something similar? they're so much better at doing it too, i'm usually a hard person to get blood from but they do it so much they're experts and in and out before you realise lol

hi to sammy and any newbies i've missed, hope your stay is short and sweet

Birdie i know how you feel, saw a status from DH's cousin before, saying how her new years resolution is to quit smoking for the health of her unborn baby...so obviously hasn't done it straight away and is bragging about that fact
book the holiday anyway! you're always hearing stories of 'she tried for years, then booked a holiday and bam' lol

Becca glad to hear your blood results are normal, hope the scan is clear and your partner has super swimmers if they're doing that too :)

Have some EWCM so hopefully i'm 'fertile' and will stay that way the rest of this year.

Happy New Year To All, hope you're all long gone this time next year x x

*if you're not ovulating and going for months and months without a period (i think 7 was my personal best lol) then what you'll get is a breakdown of the womb lining that's been built up. it's important to have at least 4 periods a year as any less increases the risk of cervical or uterus cancer, i can't remember which.

    Hi ladies

I hope you don't mind me popping in to post something completely off topic!

At the beginning of the year I remember having a chat with some of the ladies on this thread about knitting - I'd never knitted before and really wanted to learn. Anyway, a couple of people very kindly recommended I try the book 'knitty gritty' for beginners - I was given it for Christmas this year and absolutely love it! I'm just about to start my first proper project (a scarf) after doing lots of test squares and stitches... I think it's going to be quite addictive!

I just wanted to say 'thank you' for the recommendations! :)

Sending lots of love and sticky baby dust, and have everything crossed you will all have forever babies in 2013 - I'm still stalking all the ladies I know from this thread :D

Tried that one already (Florida!) and it didn't work for me! Tempting fate clearly isn't the way forward for me! :p We're going to look into it in March/April time, that way if we do magically fall PG we'll still be able to fly! :)

I hope you'll be posting pictures of your finished projects MrsJ! :) My Mum has just taken up knitting again (after a 30 year break!) as she thinks that proper Nanas should knit and is loving it, she's made a little hat for my not-yet-born nephew and it is so cute! She's working on a little jacket now and has promised us all Christmas jumpers next year. :) I'm going to ask her for some lessons, I'll check out that book too! I like to be doing something with my hands if I'm watching TV so I think it'll be quite good for me. :)

apparently at his concert where he announced it (as you do) he referred to Kim as his 'babymom'
i realise i'm totally not cool or down with the kids, but i thought babymom denoted a lady you wasn't romantically involved with but was the mother of one or more of your children.
so if i was Kim i'd be miffed

have a baby by me baby, be a millionaire...

Missed my temp this morning due to 'sleep deprivation'- oh the irony of my post yesterday! This morning was the one I really needed- OV time me thinks!

Only managed an hours nap this afternoon so my FF chart is all messed up. I got an even stronger line on the OPK today- it's way darker than the control line :D

Going out later so will say happy new year to everyone now. I hope that 2013 brings you (and me!) everything you dream of :T
