Please don't mention Christmas! I'm sadly underprepared for December! :eek: I was supposed to have finished all of my Christmas cards, 20 cards for my Mum that she ordered and I had wanted to make extras to sell... so far I'm at about 6 all together! I had wanted to make a load of presents but I've only managed to make 1 so far. No idea what to get OH... and I'm sadly short on money even if I did know what to buy! And worst of all, every year I do a special advent calendar for OH filled with little presents and I've not made a new calendar yet which I said I'd do and I've not bought 1 thing to go in it anyway! Bad wife alert!

:rotfl: you're right Birdie - will have to find something sneaky to hide in the bathroom cabinet!! Just read the instructions and for a very short cycle, ov could be cd6 - 9??!! Of course OH is away those exact days. Let's hope last month's cycle was a fluke because I was sick and stressing out big time.

nicp60 lol...so glad to hear I'm not the only one! My folic acid tablets are the pink 'vitamin tablets for girls' and my stock of pregnacy tests are tucked away in the cupboard...he did notice (and comment on!) the big pic of a baby on the Conceive Plus packaging before I could take the plain white tube out of the box

I think if I had an OH who was always up for it, I'd just bonk every other day and chuck all the OPK's/temping stuff/cm analysis out the window!

Surely if you are having lots of regular sex, you don't need to worry about BD'ing at the 'right' time?

That's my hope Metranil Vavin - today is my last day on the pill and I'm hoping just to leave it to mother nature, although I'm keen to give her every chance I can (e.g. with Conceive Plus). I've got the Period Tracker app which (assuming my body settles down fast after the pill) will let me know when I'm most fertile, but other than that I'm not planning to do any other testing until I need it a few months down the line.

I guess the key is not letting myself obsess over it...which unfortunately I think is going to be all too easy to do...(the obsessing that is)

kte - you could just go onto the Babycentre website or type 'ovulation calculator' into Google.

Put in the date o the first day of your last period and it will give you an estimation of your most fertile days. You can then concentrate your efforts on those days without OH ever being any the wiser!

Exactly my plan Metranil Vavin I'm a bit of an OCD organiser so I just need to make sure I don't get too controlling in my head as it will drive me crazy if it goes on for a few months. Already it's taking up way way more space in my mind than it should (although I think I'm allowed to be this excited). Thanks for pointing me at the Babycentre website - I hadn't been looking at that one

Wow - Codemonkeys post has brought out the truth from everyone! At least we all know we are not alone. My DH is sort of curious about the 'technicalities', but I'd rather he not be overly involved, as I want to keep some element of BD for fun, rather than being part of a vaguely medical process.

I love the wooly hat story! And totally understand about whispered arguments, except my DH doesn't care what people think and will tend to do it at normal volume - so I have to stop it quickly!

Amy i forgot to say, congratulations on your niece! I have bad days with coping that my niece is not mine but mainly i love her more than anything, she's fabulous! My heart proper melted yesterday, grandma turned to her to look at uncle dh and she cooed and had the biggest smile!

thank you for the lists, don't half make me smile. though for once i've not convinced myself i'm pregnant (QQ will be pleased lol), although i'm only 6DPO so there's plenty of time left...

Although i will say in a non-symptom spotting way that my bo.obs have definitely grown as my favourite bra has started to leave an imprint of the flower pattern on them!

Does anyone else find that the FF tools make them crazy? my main hobby with it at the minute is looking at the 'chart overlay' and trying to scrutinize to see if there's a difference in temps compare to the two cycles were i temped and ovulated and what significance i can attached to that.
so far there's nothing, but that doesn't stop me trying...

When i first met DH he was a 3 times a night sorta bloke! (very first night was 10 times, which seems ridiculous now lol) but now he doesn't exercise he has no stamina so he's a once a day, moans the second day sorta bloke, but hopefully now he's started a weightlifting regime....
