Trying for a Baby Part 8

Hi my lovelies,
I think an extra-big, extra-dodgy hug is in order for all of us :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:I was going to go through and respond individually but it's been too long since I postedThinking especially of MV at the moment though, and sending special :grouphug: your way. I was really hoping I'd see the triumphant return of QQ and lots of BFPs.... but maybe over the weekend
Afm, my sister went to the hospital for her final scan yesterday and they've said there's a problem with the placenta and baby's not getting everything she needs. DS is already 2cm dilated (almost 38 weeks so no-one's panicking) and they're planning to induce on Tuesday if she's not gone into spontaneous labour before then following her S&S yesterday. I'm working on Sunday and am popping in this afternoon, so it's quite possible I could be in when she's in labour:o;):D:cool::( (not sure how I feel about that :rotfl:)
Maybe I'm SSing in a bad way, but I think I may well have PCOS... my cycles have been stupidly long, with no ov detected, I have insulin resistance and (this is embarrassing) have stray hair where ladies shouldn't have hair. Should I go to the GP with this or are they going to think I'm a hyperchondriac?
Happy Friday ladies0 -

I had many gynae problems before going on the pill and have had previous gynae referrals. I had a laparoscopy in 2009 & they found scarring which they removed & said it may or may not affect me. The first dr I saw was very much of this attitude which was fine but the one I saw yesterday said there is no point messing around & making us wait and wait if the outcome is not good.
T2d hugs to you for today xxx
Hi squirrel, that's positive news, hope you are ok xx
Amy I'd defo go to your gp, if nothing else to note your concerns xFirst baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
Evening all. Squirrel, I moved to the +12 months board and its helpful for more medical stuff, but i still hang out here (presuming I can find the thread! ). Glad dhs sa went better second time. So did ours and it was nice to get not bad news - even though not great. ’borderline normal’ will do me!
DH is just below 'borderline normal' - but thats how I'd describe ourselves in real life anyway so no change there!!

Amy, definitely go to see the docs - I have insulin resistance (although didnt know it until recently) and really long cycles and was diagnosed with PCOS at the grand old age of 32. I'm now taking metformin to try and keep it all under control and to help ttc - dont be afraid of going and getting it checked out - you wont look silly and it will be a relief to know either way. Am here if you need to ask any questions!
Hi squirrel, that's positive news, hope you are ok xx
Thanks Becca x yes I am trying to see the postives where I can - there arent many around but I will take what I can get!!!! :rotfl:0 -
Morning all.
T2D - Good luck today with the colposcopy. It'll all be over and done with before you know it hon. I'll be thinking of you x
Thanks for your thoughts Amy. I'd definitely say go to see your Dr if you think you may have PCOS. I hope your sisters labour goes well
squirrel - great news that hubby's SA has improved. Does he take the conception vits? My OH has been on them for a while now. I'm not sure exactly how much difference they make, but they can't hurt!
AFM - CD6 today, and apparently I should be starting to test today, but I think it's too early. MY AF has only just seemed to have stopped, so I think I'll start testing tomorrow as I don't want to miss the surge if I happen to be ov'ing earlier.
I do think they encourage you to use the sticks up as quickly as possible though so you buy a load more, and they're not cheap!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Definitely mv... Are you using cbfm?First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140

Morning becca.
No I am using the CB digital ovulation sticks with the smiley faces.
I do have a CBFM and in fact I used it the cycle I conceived my son, but I haven't got any test sticks, and found the digi opks easy to just pick off the shelf (I can't actually remember how to use the CFFM!)
If no joy this cycle I will dust off the CBFM again I think.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Welcome MiffyMoo!
Hope it goes well today T2D
There are worse things than being just below borderline normal Squirrel, I'd take that as good news!
Amy, I agree with the others that you should go to your GP, it isn't as if you're making up issues there and it'll be for the best if you can get an answer one way or another!Hope everything goes well for your sister.
It's good that your doctor has ordered tests for you Becca, although I can understand that talk about fertility specialists must have been overwhelming! Hope if there is an issue it can be easily fixed and you get a lovely BFP soon!
BZ, I've just got to say that I missed you when you were gone! You're so good at explaining things and just lovely all over!
AFM, I think I'm finally 1DPO.Glad I was away during this long wait for OV, if I hadn't been distracted by having too much fun I'd have been going crazy!

Hey ladies, long time no speak! Hope you're all well and that no one's being too badly affected by the horrible weather.
I haven't had a chance to read up on what I've missed so I'll just send you all some big hugs and hopefully will catch up properly soon.
QQ - if you're still lurking, I really hope things are ok and you manage to sort things out. I don't think you realise how much you mean to us all and I hope that the love and best wishes of some internet strangers is at least a little bit of comfort right now. Takre care xx.0 -
Glad to hear your back.0
