Hi everyone. I am having a really miserable day, think post holiday blues are really not helped by a wet and miserable first day back at work :o

Sorry to read about the problems some of you are having at work. Just a shame we all have to work - why cant life just be a holiday all the time.

Could someone please explain to me (being a bit thick :o) what stages of CM/EWCM you can expect throughout your cycle.

Last week I had EWCM on the Tuesday and on the Friday it was then a thick creamy sticky type. Today its really watery. I think I must have OV last week (but cant be sure as my cycles can range from 33-56 days). So if I did OV last week I would be 7 DPO is that right?

I know someone will have the answer as you are all pretty much experts as the whole TTC thing :) x xx

Hi littleme - re: CM/EWCM and OV. You are right, if you did OV on Tuesday last week then you would now be 7 DPO. In my experience, CM usually dries up or goes sticky immediately after OV and then it can be creamy/watery again during the 2ww. Have you thought about temping to confirm OV? EWCM is a really good indicator, but if you have irregular cycles/EWCM more than once in a cycle it can be useful to temp or use OPKs in addition that.

Generally I find I get little/no cm immediately after AF, then some creamy/water stuff, and then EWCM for anything between 1-4 days (OV time!) and then it dries up as I said above.

    Hope that helps :)

So turns out my OH is a sneaky one. ;) He went for his SA 2 weeks ago and got the results today (no idea why he didn't tell me at the time?!) and it's come back great. 135m count, great motility, ph levels etc... he's very impressed by his Super Sperm! :rotfl: I'm so relieved as I was worried considering his history of operations *down there* so I guess it means that there's either something wrong with me or we just have to be patient and wait for things to happen. :o I think I'll leave it until after Christmas and if there's still no baby on board I'll ask for more tests. :)

Fingers crossed mission delay-period-for-2-weeks-so-I-will-OV-and-concieve-on-holiday works! :)

Thank you mrsj for your help! I knew someone on here would know the answer.

I completely embarrassed myself earlier....I fell down the stairs at work. Been feeling a bit odd and airy fairy today and just tripped/fell down. I caught myself with the hand rail so it broke my fall and got up before reception found me.

Hope you feel better soon MV xxx

*hugs MV* you can come join me in the sick corner. I've been drowning in my own lungs all week. A chest infection and asthma don't mix well :(

Can I join you in the sick corner too? I took today off work as I was still feeling really poorly this morning - although I do feel a lot better now which means I will unfortunately have to go back in the mornign :(
Thankfully I only have one more day of my boss and then he goes on holiday for a bit so I will only have to put up with him for 2 weeks once he's back!!

I've lost track how many days past OV I am at the moment because we havent had the lists to check although I've got a feeling I'm on 9dpo - I am wishing the days away just wanting to get to 14 or 15 so I can test.
I'm thinking with my DH's rubbish SA results and my PCOS then it will definitely be a negative but it wouldnt surprise me that by tempting fate and taking this new job (meaning little or no Mat pay) then it will be positive!! I am not entirely sure what my reaction would be :o

There seems to be a lot of people on here having issues with work at the moment - we all just need to win that lottery dont we!!
Hugs to everyone who needs them at the moment, not just for work matters, for everything rubbish at the moment whatever that is!! I'm determined by the end of the week I shall have some PMA back!!!!!

Everyone's sick at the mo ! My colleague went home as she was feeling dodgy too, poor thing, she was really pale and shaky. ((Hugs)) to all the poorly TTCers.

I have no idea what DPO i am either, i think i ov'd later so i don't know. Am i right in thinking that the LP never changes ? Just the first part of the cycle ?

Everyone is sick around here too. I had it last week, DH had it too, and now everyone at work has started to go off sick with the same thing. It's like a doctor's surgery at the moment.

Still no ov for me (I'm on CD17 now) and no positive opk (although the test line is the darkest today that I've seen it so far) but I have major cramps today and lots of EWCM (sorry if TMI!) so it can't be far off. OH has demanded dinner before he gets dragged upstairs to provide services. Clearly he's a cheap date :)
