Bleurgh, my PMA at an all time low today. Having spent the whole weekend wondering whether I've done the right thing with my job, I went in this morning (despite coming down with some kind of lurgy over the weekend) and asked my line manager rather than taking a day of sick as I felt really ill, could I work from home in order that I'm not breathing over all my colleagues and he still gets his project finished.
The look he gave me I will never forget - I might as well have been a piece of dog**** on the bottom of his shoe - and then basically shot me down in flames. I know I have peed them off by handing my notice in but why not deal with it like an adult. It made me realise how much I HAVE made the right decision to go! I just can't face the next 4 weeks being treated like an idiot but unfortunately I have no holidays to take :-(
There have been a few people handing in their notice recently but none of them seemed to have caused as much upset with the management team as I have...
I know I shouldnt even be worried about it, but what do I do, if the next month in my job my life is made a misery?

Oh my GOD. Do we have the same boss? I nearly told my line manager and regional manager to fkcu off today :o The grief I have been getting is unreal. Like you, I am very glad i'm leaving. I might need some time off sick at the end of this month :D

Hugs for everyone with no PMA. I feel like that too. It is very hard seeing other people get their BFP, particularly when they haven't been trying very long. I keep on tabs on this thread but don't post regularly for thay reason.

Anyway, another day from hell for me tomorrow so nighty night everyone.

    Lily xx

Spartan - Are you charting you temps, they might give you a clue as to where you are in your cycle.

Its the big day today. OH has his SA and we have to drive into the city (which I am dreading) so things might be a bit tense till this afternoon. I hate city driving and OH is dreading having to 'perform' in a hospital. (We live more than an hour away so can't get the sample in advance)

Hugs to any one having a hard time at the moment.:)

firefly - good luck for today, hope the driving is ok and that OH manages to do the SA ok. Hope you have a nice relaxing evening after it all too.
  • Morning all, just a quickie from me as I am at work.

Just wanted to send hugs to all those who are lacking the PMA at the moment. Whilst it is lovely to see lots of BFP's all appearing at once, it is also tough. Sprinkling lots of babydust about the place for everybody x

I am 6dpo today so right in the middle of the boring 2ww. I've not been very well the last few days, something I'd been convinving myslef may be early pregnancy related but which actually I think has been a stomach bug of some kind...bleugh.

Q is going to have a job updating the lists when she gets back! I did have a go Q, but started messing it up so thought I'd better leave it alone!

Just had the final relocation meeting with new boss and HR - they're being even more unreasonable now.

The 'offer' (ha!) they've made is just ridiculous. It would mean 3 days a week with a 4hr commute, 1 day with a potential 2 hr commute and 1 day at home. Plus they're changing my hours so I finish 2 hrs later on a friday.

They pay the additional mileage for 2 years, so I'd have to leave then if I didn't leave before - otherwise it would be the equivalent of a massive pay cut.

So the question is..... do I take redundancy (I'd get approx. £4k, which is better than nothing but really wouldn't last long), or do I stick it out and see if the possible fertility treatment works?

Atm, I feel like I'm lowering my chances of successful tx as I'm so stressed about work. But if I don't have a job that's quite stressful too! We definitely rely on my income.

Plus I really didn't want to start a new job and then straight away be asking for time off for appts. Then there's the whole maternity leave issue.

It's such a mess. Sorry for yet another work rant but I just don't know what to do.

arrgh was doing ok yesterday until I went to see my parents. My mum started in with the tick tocking and my dad started really hassling me about it all and DH didnt defend me or say anything. Honestly he just kept going on about me being only for breeding and why wasnt I doing it and that I'm old now and all the other girls got pregnant really quickly. You cant even get too cross cause he has memory issues. So I went a bit defensive and pointed out they'd taken a long time to conceive too in the hopes that they'd remember a bit how that felt and leave me alone but they just kept going until I snapped and said that any idiot could get pregnant at 16 but I'd have thought they'd be more proud that I worked hard to get a couple of degrees and start a proper career, got married to a suitable man and bought a house than if I'd conceived a child, father unknown in a pub carpark (like a certain member of my family).

Then later on I was messing around with my dad about something else and he jokingly pretended to slap me then said "no I cant hit a pregnant woman". I said I'm not pregnant and he said it again.

As soon as I was safely in the car and away from the house I burst into tears.

Then this morning I thought maybe he knew something I dont - certain members of my family just seem to know so I peed on an ic which of course was a stark white BFN.

  • Sorry your having a tough time tea lover. How long have you got untill you let them know?
So many choices there and thing to weigh up.
I took a leap of faith last year and glad I did, but that was right for me. I still get the stress now and again in my new job, but downgrading means I have a life now and feeling over all heathly for it.
IF you have time to think about it, you and OH can have a chat and see what's best for you both.
Are there the jobs out there for you?
Wishing you lots of hugs x
