Trying for a Baby Part 8

I am currently doing something similar (well, probably not at all, but...) in that I work four days per week from home and drive one day a week to the main office which is a 170 mile round trip, means leaving home before 7am and getting home at about 8pm. I can handle it one day a week, no problem. But my work is starting to put pressure on me to work more days in the main office, and there's no way I will do that....
Exactly! For me it would 'only' (ha!) be a 120 mile round trip but it involves going through Birmingham at rush hour. Whenever I've gone to the site before it's taken getting on for 2 hours, on a good day. I'm not happy about it at all but I've agreed to do one day a week - but they're being completely inflexible and saying it has to be 3.0 -

Don't budge... one day is absolutely fine, I find. I can psych myself up for it and set the alarm early, and 'lose' an evening and sit in the car for four hours etc, but only for one day a week. Any more is soul destroying. Very occasionally I stay over with a friend who lives locally and do two days, but that's only if I want to.
I just had a whinge at DH about how difficult it is being a woman and having to factor in pregnancy/children when trying to make career decisions and he was SO unhelpful. Just sat there shrugging his shoulders...brilliant!0 -

Sometimes I swear we're the same person lol!I tried to talk to OH about this the other night and he was completely useless. All he came out with was "you'll just have to stick it out", then it was back to p*ssing about with twitter on his phone. Thanks for that!
It doesn't help that I really can't stand the job either. I'm only hanging on for maternity pay. If I knew for certain it wasn't going to happen I'd take the (v small) redundancy payout and never give the place a second thought.0 -
QQ i really dont know if i have ov'd its all gone a bit wierd lol
Abis. The psychic said i would concieve on or around October 2012...... eek!x0 -
Great big giant hugs to those in need of them.
Please post Tinks and let us know all is well, thinking of you :TI think it's time we evolved to have some sort of ovulation button that we could discreetly press to release an egg when our OHs are available and in the mood, then we could cut out the pressure to perform on demand. Actually, in my head I kind of visualised being about to shout "RELEASE THE EGG" at the right moment but, having thought about it a bit, a button would probably be less of a passion killer :rotfl:
This made me actually laugh out loud. Good plan, you can have the job of designing / implementing it0 -

Take the redundancy and run....
I am getting so close to doing the same (without the redundancy payout :rotfl:)
Let's all leave our jobs and set up a new business inventing/producing this 'RELEASE THE EGG' button :rotfl:0 -

If we go to Dragon's Den we will have to have the coloured pee idea sorted at that stage too. May as well do it as a job lot!0 -
I will admit to sprurting a little coffee when I read RELEASE THE EGG. And you can't explain to people at work what you are reading!

Is anyone else hearing 'RELEASE THE EGG' in Dale Winton's voice? A la 'hole in the wall'?
*runs off in shame having admitted to watching Hole in the Wall*0
