Exactly! For me it would 'only' (ha!) be a 120 mile round trip but it involves going through Birmingham at rush hour. Whenever I've gone to the site before it's taken getting on for 2 hours, on a good day. I'm not happy about it at all but I've agreed to do one day a week - but they're being completely inflexible and saying it has to be 3.

Don't budge... one day is absolutely fine, I find. I can psych myself up for it and set the alarm early, and 'lose' an evening and sit in the car for four hours etc, but only for one day a week. Any more is soul destroying. Very occasionally I stay over with a friend who lives locally and do two days, but that's only if I want to.

I just had a whinge at DH about how difficult it is being a woman and having to factor in pregnancy/children when trying to make career decisions and he was SO unhelpful. Just sat there shrugging his shoulders...brilliant!

Sometimes I swear we're the same person lol! I tried to talk to OH about this the other night and he was completely useless. All he came out with was "you'll just have to stick it out", then it was back to p*ssing about with twitter on his phone. Thanks for that!

It doesn't help that I really can't stand the job either. I'm only hanging on for maternity pay. If I knew for certain it wasn't going to happen I'd take the (v small) redundancy payout and never give the place a second thought.

I am getting so close to doing the same (without the redundancy payout :rotfl:)

I will admit to sprurting a little coffee when I read RELEASE THE EGG. And you can't explain to people at work what you are reading!

If we go to Dragon's Den we will have to have the coloured pee idea sorted at that stage too. May as well do it as a job lot!
