MV - will getting drunk help? I'm beginning to think it's our best option around OV time.... surely the benefits of actually having sex will outweigh the negative impact of alcohol on fertility..?!?

(Sorry, am begin flippant now, just feeling really annoyed for all of us ladies about how difficult ttc is...)

Oh heavens what is the matter with us all?! We need a spa weekend, a vat of chocolate and a full-body massage. Once I win the lottery that's what I'll get for us all.

mrsj - the book is good!
Meeting was a bit of a letdown really as nothing happened. We went over the same stuff we did in the last meeting (2 months ago) and they said they'd get back to me (like they always say). We're at stalemate as they say I have to do at least 3 days in wolverhampton (60 miles away, b*tch of a drive up the M6), I'm saying I'll only do 1 day a week there. No one is budging.

Tea lover - big big big hugs for you.. Hope the FS can give you lots more information. Step away from Dr Google and that book etc in the meantime. My book is in the naughty cupboard cos I got my molar pregnancy while reading it :o:o:o Cos its clearly the books fault?!?! :o:o:o:o

When are we all going to get pregnant?! Stoopid stoopid stoopid eggs and sperms! They only have to meet up!! How hard is that?!?!

MV - I know what yr saying about not giving up hope, but I'm out and to not admit that now would be a little foolish of me. I've had a tlp at 11dpo before, and now I'm 12dpo with a BFN. I'm sure of when I ov'd cos of my OPK. And I did have spotting (presumably implantation bleed) last time, but that started on 9dpo. DH keeps saying it ain't over yet too, until I sobbed and sobbed on him earlier, lol!! Poor love was at work and was having to use careful language so his colleagues wouldn't listen in on the conversation. I do feel sorry for him sometimes. He is absolutely amazing :happyhear

Release the egg made me lol bigbird :D

  • mrsj - I think alcohol would actually make it worse! Maybe afterwards to either celebrate success or drown our sorrows though!

Tea - I'm with you on the spa weekend! A weekend of total self indulgence and pampering.

    WE DESERVE IT!

Mogwai - no spotting, nothing, zilch, not even a hint, last time I was pregnant I was 3+ on a digi at 3 days late, I'm not even getting a hint of a line :(. I'm 2 days late now and it's unheard of so i'm not sure what to think.

It's just a case of wait and see what happens but at 20dpo and CD30 i doubt it will be a BFP now unfortunately.

Fingers crossed for you though as you're 2 days late too!:j

    Scoobs

Scoobs the only other thing is are you sure you ovulated? I was 5 days late last month, and I had no AF symptoms at all. It turned out I didn't actually ovulate and I had a really weird brown AF..once I realised I stopped stressing about the late AF and just waited for it to come properly.

At any rate, fingers crossed you just have a very shy beanie and you will get your BFP soon! Apparently 12% of pregnant women still have negative HPTs at 20dpo, so FX!

    20dpo HPT stats

Has anyone tried the sperm meets egg plan? I'm thinking when I start properly trying again in Nov I may give this plan a go, even though it goes against my relaxed TTC ethos a little bit :o

just popped in to say i'm thinking of you Tinks, hope you're hear tonight bragging about that fast little heartbeat :)

My DH reckons women should ovulate like men produce theirs-ie on um, being very happy. i said it would put an end to one night stand babies cos everyone knows that sort of dancing is not the best and would make ttc much more fun for me lol

On the DTD front, I have found it better/DH has found it less pressurised for me to say 'i need you to do it on these days' about a week and a bit in advance. we do it whenever else we like, but he knows in advance those are the days so he can plan his leisure time around it and doesn't seem to feel as pressured as me springing it on him one day because i have EWCM then getting upset that that doesn't make him h*rny

I really feel for everyone who is feeling despondent about it all at the minute. I say to DH that it feels like a magic trick- i know the magic words, i wave the wand and !!!!!!, no rabbit. where some people can do it without thinking and get several bunnies out of the their hat :(
But I'm becoming ok with my journey being long now that i have timescales to the next stage, you know? I'm focussed on being fitter and healthier for March now x x

I use the CBFM I had highs on cd7 and 8, peaks on cd9 and 10 and a high on cd11, but that’s not to say that I actually ovulated. As well as the CBFM I used the CB digi OPK and got a J on CD9 so I was kind of hoping something was going to happen soon.

Unfortunately I’ve just spent 3 weeks hoping and SS’ing (sorry QQ) and it wasn’t to be. Hopefully I may get some answers next week if I have bloods done by then. Even if I got AF I would get something, that's better than nothing in a weird sort of way!

    Grrrrr nothings ever simple!
Thank you so much for the information Mogwai, will have a read up on it when I'm not being watched at work :rotfl:

Where do I sign up for this spa weekend?????!!! Count me in :D It's a shame we're not all local to each other as that would be such a fun thing to do, all the ttc ladies together :)

What an annoying work situation tealover. I am currently doing something similar (well, probably not at all, but...) in that I work four days per week from home and drive one day a week to the main office which is a 170 mile round trip, means leaving home before 7am and getting home at about 8pm. I can handle it one day a week, no problem. But my work is starting to put pressure on me to work more days in the main office, and there's no way I will do that.... the issue I have is that the current arrangement is a 'flexible agreement' meaning that my official main place of work is still the company office, and they can turn around and change the requirements at any minute  I have a meeting at the end of October to discuss..... I'll be waving goodbye if they revoke the current agreement....unless I'm pregnant in which case I'll hang on.

Guess there's a few of us putting up with job troubles for TTC - doesn't help the pressure either does it :(

Second thoughts... maybe that spa weekend wouldn't be so good... as I'd have to tell you my real name... I'd feel a bit weird being called mrsj28 out loud!!!
