I saw that you had thanked a few posts (just call me Miss Marple!).

You're not insane, you're doing what you feel is the right thing, and just because things went wrong last time, doesn't mean it will happen again.

I know it's a big leap of faith. I keep remembering my bad time and how devestated I was, but I also remember the joy when my DS was born, so I'm prepared to put my neck on the line again and go for a sibling for him.

Whether it works or not, of if I am too old (will be 40 next April :eek:) I don't know, but the positives outweigh the negatives for me now (they didn't for quite a while)

It's really interesting to see so many of the old gang back on here at the same time, and fab to see that Tinks has just got her BFP..and of course it's always wonderful to see all the other BFP's too.

this TTC lark is addictive!

Hugs Birdie but i agree with the others. A man i used to work with and considered myself to be quite friendly with frequently commented on 'hating children' and how great he and his wife had it being footloose and fancy free but turns out he assumed he couldnt have children so was trying to train his mind to think that way as he didnt think it would happen.
he also said he though it would be easier on his wife if she thought he didnt because if it didnt happen she wouldnt feel as bad. If that makes sense! But i can see the twisted logic behind it so try not to dwell on it too much. If hes a man then he will probably hav changed his mind by the morning anyway.:p
You maybe caught him on a bad day.

Birdie - your husband sounds like he's doing similar to me - I've started saying "if" we have a baby instead of "when" its like I'm trying to convince myself its not going to happen so i won't be so disappointed each month - stupid really. I'm guessing he's doing similar - as others have suggested to.

I'm determined not to test this time until AF is at least due
