just got one from Aldi today and will try it out over the weekend. A 30 day money back with it, but hopefully wont need that
  • What's their delivery times like?, I ordered some things over a week & a half ago, recieved nothing, e-mailed them to cancel order, just not good enough!

Bought the Aldi one today and it works great.

Only problem is, I can't see how you can remove it once it's installed. I can't see how you can get the 2 removal tools down the sides to release the cage's 'prongs' that grab the unit. Anyone got any clues?

These bits are normally covered by a surround which usually clips off, this will be made easier with the face off removed. Having not owned this stereo though I cannot guarantee this, just this is stereos in general :)

anewman, that's exactly what I thought, but couldn't for the life of me see how/if this surround came off. It's not obvious, but after pulling and tugging some more, a surround does indeed detatch.
  • Is this still in Aldi today? Might pop down later if it is.

Went on sale yesterday so they probably will still have some left, one day on, as it is not a "hot cakes /must have" item.

  • Ah excellent. Never been Aldi before, must admit I got a bit confused by this 'Thursday special' thing, wasn't sure if it was just a one day offer.

I've tried searching the thread but no one seems to have asked this:

How does it sort files? My current unit plays back alphabetically so you can number files to get a desired order. Does this unit do the same or is there a way of fixing playing order?

    Does it support directories?

If you plug in a USB MP3 player remove it, listen to a few tracks outside the car and then plug it back in, will it play from where you left off? Or will it go back to the last track you played in the car?

got mine up and running OK, without blowing the car up:rotfl: One problem though is that when I turn the car off and take the keys out and then start the car again I have to input all the setting s again. Tune the radio back in, turn the bass & treble to my desired setting etc. Why is this? Do I have to mess about with wires or something? my car is a r reg Corsa 1.4
    Cheers
