anyone know what the yellow wire does on the wiring adapter? mine has come with the yellow wire snapped out of the connection block...it wont go back in, wondering if theres anything i could do, or will i need to return it?

when i tried it in my car i got absolutely no power, its a Fiat Stilo. does this mean i have to swap the wires over?

on my wiring adapter the red and black wires go into the fuse box and then come out the other side but dont go into the stereo, is this correct?

Yellow wires are sometimes used for telephone Mute from a car phone module. When this wire is grounded it mutes the radio whilst a call is in progress. The radio may even display "Phone" whilst this happens. Hope this helps.

    1. Every time I load a data cd full of MP3 file, although it plays them ok, it ocassaionally cut out and then kicks back in, its only for a second, but happens half way in between a song which is annoying. Has anyone else had this problem (maybe I have a duff unit)

    2. While playing MP3's from a USB key, it appears to have a bug whereby it will only play a few minutes of a track and then move onto the next one. This only seems to happen if the system was powered off and then on at a later time (ALthough to resolve this I have to press the RESET button)

Any thoughts, suggestions, experience of this, please let me know.

Up until 18th June this stereo is for sale at £26.99 - I just ordered another one for my other car as the first one is so good for the price!

Comes in at £39.70 with all the VAT and shipping, but will still be 29p cheaper than when Aldi have theirs on sale again next week!

Just hope I don't get the fascia's mixed up with it being the same model and blow them up or summit! :D

Mine has arrived this morning. Installed the unit but it does nothing, no power at all. I've checked the fuses and tried swapping the red/orange wires but still no good. It's on a Rover 420. Any ideas?

Just bought one today, and checking the wiring diagram, the orange wire goes to the power antenna, yellow,(fused), to memory+, and red, (fused), to 12V+, ie main supply. I don't know if anyone else is confused, but I certainly am! I presume that, being for an early Mondeo, I will need a fascia adaptor??? Wish I'd known that, why can't it be more uniform, ah well, Ebay here we come again!
When I say just bought one, I mean the 40 quid one from Aldi that went on sale today, sorry, should have made that clear.
