Thanks Thommo, just what I'm after!
Anyone know owt about fitting it in either a Citroen AX or Daewoo Lanos?
Can't decide whether to swap them about a bit - the Citroen stereo is totally shot, but if it's easier to fit this new one in a Lanos than the Citroen then I'll put the existing one from there into the Citroen cos I know that's a straight swop over, wiring wise (if that makes sense?!)
Thanks for any advice!

You will need a fascia adapter and a cable. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/index.php?cPath=986 if replacing the inbuilt stereo.hi, i have just bought one of these for my ford fiesta (98). does anyone know how easy/hard this will be to install and will we need to buy extra stuff or cut wires like i have read?

Of course it's a bargain. Only 7 times the price of the Tevion whereas it's normally 10 times the price...... and it does the same things.0 -
Received mine today swapped the two wires in the connector and it works fine apart from playing Mp'3  have tried a 1gb Kingston Elite Pro SD and a Scandisk Ultra 2gb SD card but when i have tried them in the player it says memory card but doesn't do anything
? I have tried pressing the APS button to select the folder etc but it still doesn't do anything.
Has anyone else used one of these cards sucessfully?
I have also tried two USB memory sticks but it does the same
Any sugestions appreciated0 -
i received one of these today... really good delivery, i order it sunday night and it came this afternoon (wednesday). and i was able to track it with ups.
had none of these troubles with needing to swap wires or anything, just plugged straight in.
had to get an ariel adapter for the radio (mine is female, it needed to be male) but it was only £2:99!!!
that was that it is in and working and looks excellent. i am very pleased. have used the radio, the cd player and the usb slot and all work perfectly, if a little confusing to work out at first. (i cant use my sony mp3 player but it doesnt work in the x box 360 either so i dont think it is compatible). haven't tried the sd slot yet.Compers challenge 2024 wins!!!!.... Okay , I know this is a bit out of left field but i was thinking about buying one of these for my Forklift truck at work . Wont be able to use the CD due to rough ground but it seems ideal in regards to USB for MP3 player .
Now here's the question , I only have a black and a red power lead so would it be at all possible you think to wire it up ?
I know it's pobably the daftest question in the whole lengthy thread but it would give me a better choice than the 20yr old cassette player currently fitted .0 -
You would also need the ignition switched power cable to attach to it, but this doesn't have to be ignition switched, just need to remember to turn it off so no battery drain. You should be able to simply piggy back the required connector off the red power cable but you may need an iso connector or some sort of adapter to fit the connector on the stereo itself. Now here's the question , I only have a black and a red power lead so would it be at all possible you think to wire it up ?0 -
Sorry for digging up an old thread but I'm having problems with this unit in my 96 Fiesta, if anyone has any suggestions.
After swapping the red and orange wires it works fine and has its memory, but when I turn the volume up beyond 20 or so it blows a fuse. It's the 0.5A fuse on the orange wire and the guy at Halfords said to just stick a 1A in there, but I'm a bit concerned that that's a bad move safety-wise.
It's still at £29.00 by the way.0
