This problem has been mentioned a number of times on this forumblazejohny wrote: »I bought this unit 2 weeks ago. It worked fine with CD, IPOD 20Gb via AUX.
BUT when i tried to connect Ipod via USB or other MP3 player some smoke started coming from the back. Also every time i started the car the settings etc will all go back to default - very annoying as you have to start completely from new for EVERYTHING. I'll be returning this particular unit but in MHO if you get a one thats working properly is quick good with all the toys!
I let you know how i get on with the exchange/replacement.
It has to do with two wires the red and orange need to be swapped in order for the stereo to keep it's memory0 -
Sent mine back for a replacement due to head unit keeping popping out of main radio this morning, awaiting the replacement. Its kinda annoying though that I am having to pay £10 to post this item back to them, asked for a refund on postage but I don't expect anything to come of this!

I had to send mine back due to problems mentioned further up this thread. I asked about refunding postage charges and was told to include a receipt with the parcel.
I posted it on the Saturday, and received a replacement on the Thursday. The postage charge was refunded the same day.
I originally ordered a silver one by mistake. When I returned it, I asked if it would be possible for the replacement to be a black one. This was done.
All in all I think that this is great customer service.
I am not too impressed by the radio and the clock still will not autoset, but the customer service was great. I would definitely buy from them again, but probably not car radios

The clock won't autoset - it's not that type of clock. You have to set it yourself. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Alright, another question!
I just got a newer Renault Clio, one of those ones with the controls up by the steering wheel... What do I need to do to get it to work with that? Would I need one of those ISO leads (or is that for something else?) or some other lead?0 -
I suppose that I should read the manual. :rolleyes:MyUserNamesTaken wrote: »The clock won't autoset - it's not that type of clock. You have to set it yourself.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.

In answer to your question, I do not believe that this will allow you to use the steering wheel controls.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.
