• I got my aerial adaptor off ebay for £1.75, so if its a lot more at halfords then worth a look

Ah, but you can't get an ebay seller to take a look (and as good as fit) your stereo for free... ;)

Did you pop along to Halfords, Rob? If so, what did they say about your fuses, etc?

well, thks for all info, radio now in my old peugeot 206 and appears to be ok playing CDs, also keeps memory so plug compatible, will get iso din adaptor for aerial tomorn.
still trying to figure out how to install it tightly in console, cant get at back when its in to attach metal strip, still gravity should hold it in...
regards
• I didn't bother with the metal strip. As long as you secure the cage in with enough of the press down clips, it won't come out. I cut 6 fingers (3 on each hand) trying to get my kenwood cage out!

If the car stereo is Tevion then it is ex Aldi stock. Probably all items on this web site are ex Aldi, Lidl etc. I think these stores sell off overstock by the pallet load. You often find Lidl's Silvercrest or Targa stock on unrelated web sites, Aldi's too. Not that there's anything wrong with the items, just that you won't have the 3 year guarantee that an original purchase will have.
• I would be surprised if these are Aldi overstock. All stock of these stereos sell out when they go on sale in Aldi. As you know, Aldi limits each store on how many units they will be supplied with, which results in most lines selling out within hours of the store doors opening. If these are overstock, they'll be Tevion/Medion (same company) overstock, not Aldi. Tevion/Medion supply other companies besides Aldi now. By the way, these stereos come with a 3 year guarantee from Fascin8 Ltd. UnbeatableGadgets is the clearance stock division of Fascin8 Ltd. for liquidation of excess stock at heavily discounted prices.

Lidl sells off its overstock.

I noticed that the prices increased to £39 for the past couple of weeks, but now they must have more stock in again and they have brought the prices back down to £29. C U on ebay ;)

There seems to be lots of varying problems and opinions on this unit....
It's back down to £29.99 and I can't decide whether to get one or not.

I basically want it so that I can play a 40gb Ipod through it, because with the cassette adapter that I use at the moment I only get sound from the left hand speaker and I saw that someone also had this problem when trying to play Ipod through this system! My CD also plays randomly and not at all when the weather is cold!

Not being very teccy minded I don't have a clue about ISO's and fascias etc...

So can someone tell me or point me in the right direction and tell me what I will need besides this unit to install it in a PT Cruiser!

Thanks.
