Well, after using mine for a while, I'm delighted with it.

CD's work fine, SD memory card works great too. I was a little disappointed to realise my Zen wouldn't work when plugged into the USB port, but it works fine when plugged into the back of it with the AUX cable... I also tried a 256MB MP3 player in the USB port, but again, it doesn't seem to want to work (though it could just be that particular MP3 player)... However, I've used a couple of different USB flash drives in it and they work just fine.

Overall, pretty delighted with it. Haven't had it long enough to start noticing any huge negatives... :)

As i have said previously i have one myself and I have sold shed loads on eBay. I would say that it is a great unit and for the price it is unbelievable. If it we Kenwood Pioneer or Sony it would be around £299 rather than £29.

I suppose with all modern technology there are going to be incompatibility issues; however as this has so many different methods of use (ie. AUX, SD, MMC, etc.) everyone should be able to find a method of listening to hours worth of their own music. As for connecting the ISO cables. Some people have given very good descriptions on this thread of what to do. If you are completely incompetent you must know someone who is good with wiring.

  • Hmm...let me see, tried mine today and it appears that the front panel keeps popping out of the radio - every time i try to attach the front panel to the radio it keeps popping out?!

Help?! Anyone else had this problem?!

  • Took the plunge when price went back to £29. UPS tracking number sent 10 mins after ordering and item delivered day after. Just installed it in caravan, upgraded from radio/cassette - (got an ISO connecter to save cutting wires as the caravan had old fashioned screw connecter block). Tried everything out and am very pleased.

    Cheers!

You need to hook the Ipod up via the AUX cable in the back.

CAn I ask a dumb question. I have a 1996 Ford Escort with factory fitted stereo. Will it be easy to replace it with this particular unit? Will I need to buy special adaptors or can I do it straight out of the box?

I bought this unit 2 weeks ago. It worked fine with CD, IPOD 20Gb via AUX.
BUT when i tried to connect Ipod via USB or other MP3 player some smoke started coming from the back. Also every time i started the car the settings etc will all go back to default - very annoying as you have to start completely from new for EVERYTHING. I'll be returning this particular unit but in MHO if you get a one thats working properly is quick good with all the toys!

I let you know how i get on with the exchange/replacement.

You probably need an ISO adapter because most european i.e. Renault, peugoet, citreon etc are straight in but british ones i.e. ford, vauxhall might need adapter. Also i think your stereo is double DIM so you'll a fascia adapter as well. Get on ebay - these are cheap!
