I installed mine yesterday, but it is not working as well as I would like.

The clock has not set itself from RDS and there is terrible interference on Radio 4. Also there seems to be a popping sound every 30 seconds or so on other frequencies. Looks like it will be coming out again tonight.

This was replacing another Tevion radio which had none of these problems, but lost all its setting when the temperature got bellow freezing.

Anybody else having these problems? I want to know if there is a design fault or if I just have a bad one, so that I can decide whether to go for a replacement or refund.

The popping can be alleviated by pressing the AF button and stopping the unit looking for a newer stronger signal. Check to see if you have RDS switched on.

If it's faulty you can get a refund. If you just don't fancy it they aren't obliged to offer you a full refund unless their own policy states that they will, I think.
Kind of odd thing to look up when you're buying something.

I think you are wrong, take a look at the Distance Selling Regulations.

Not at all odd, quite a sensible thing to do when buying from a company that had security problems.
  • *Finally* Received mine today - silly bank holidays! It all looks good anyway, but I'll wait until after I've tried it to give a proper evaluation!
  • ordered mine on thursday and received today, so very happy with delivery times :)

    I've got a problem...

    Took out the old stereo..
Cut the orange and red wires on the new one, swapped them over for the memory.. Plugged it in and it worked no problems.

Put a cd in.. it powered off (the aerial went down) and nothing since..

I've checked the fuses.. The stereo's inline was broken, replaced that checked the one under the bonnet and thats ok.. Any other ideas?

Also put back in my old stereo which no longer has power either??
I would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!

    Hey Rob

From what other people have been saying the USB slot is for storage media only, not for USB connectable MP3 devices. Certainly some of the cheaper devices that double as USB mass storage will work, but proprietry stuff that requires drivers, such as your ipod probably wont.

HOWEVER it should be working through the AUX input.
This wont allow you to control it via the stereo, you should plug it into you headphone socket, turn the volume on the ipod WAY UP and switch the source on the stereo to AUX.

If it's not making any sound when you do this, and you are certain there's noise coming out of your ipod (you've plugged your headphones in and got deafened by the excessive noise) then methinks you've either got a faulty stereo, or a faulty connection lead.

I'm not sure where to take it after that!
