Good luck with the job stokegal, boys in shorts :D

    Well done everyone :T

I've got my mobile account sorted and this months bill has come out, was a bit more than I'd hoped for, although the bf was working abroad so it still includes some calls for that, BUT today I've thrown £80 at the credit card :j and I'm just about to fill in an application form for the job I was talking about, then back to ebay, busy busy!

After listing a few things on eBay and it all came to a grand total of £8.78.

Hmm. Perhaps the second wave of items I'm listing today will rake it in. And there aren't any bids on the signed book as yet.... Caaaarm orn Trinny and Sussanah!
I'm hoping that if I get enough up, that I may give matched betting a go. I keep reading it, and keep reading it, and I'm hoping that eventually it'll make sense! And at this rate... I'll have plenty of time before I get £50 pot together!

Congratulations mappygirl on your promotion:T For me it's been a big challenge not using the cards any more, now I've got to start paying them off. I've been very dependent on them! That has all got to stop now. I've got an instant access account that I've banked some change into plus a cheque I was given the other day, so I now have 40.00 saved towards my 1000!

  • I've sold some more stuff on ebay last night so after postage and fees i think i should have about £70 more than i started with!

i am going to a suppliers fair at work this afternoon. there’s usually a great free lunch and then tons of stalls with freebies . going to keep an eye out for anything I might be able to put on ebay.

I started reading the Matched Betting Newbie thread last night. Looks a little complicated at first but I guess its not when you get the hang of it. Might give it a go

Oh well, back to the daily grind of my current job!!!

Sorry you didn't get the job - I'm sure there's another job that's even better just around the corner :o .

I'm hoping that I can make a payment on my Capital One card soon. I sold a lot on Ebay but I need to use that for a few bills that are due. I'm hoping I can use some of it though.

If not then I've got some other little money lots coming soon that I can hopefully use. I've got a £75 mystery shop type thing on Tuesday next week (was supposed to be today) which I should get the money for by the end of the month. I'm expecting £45 worth of mystery shopping money in the middle of the month and I have already got another £45 worth of mystery shopping work lined up but I won't get that until May.

I've got my £55 baskets to sell on Ebay but I'm not expecting them to get anywhere near that!! I also received a Sky Gnome today that I won a while ago. This should sell for around £30-£40 on Ebay.

I estimate that I should earn around £600 from AQA this month so I should be able to pay at least £200-£300 of that off the card so I am hoping to be on target for an end of May clearance.

I want to get some more mystery shops to try and get a payment of around £100-£200 in May which I could pay off the card. I just want to get rid of that damn card so I can start on some others :D .

Keep going everyone - you are all doing so well :A

    Hey Emily and All

Just an update to how I'm getting on!!!

I have started putting my own things on ebay (can't steal anymore of my OH things otherwise he'll start to notice) began with 7 bags, at least 4 cost me over £100 each (my spending habits in the days before my lightbulb moment) I had a NSD today, I am ill though and still have not got out of my pj's.

I took out a loan last month to pay off my credit card (APR on credit card = 34.9%, APR on loan = 19.9%) and didn't realise that my repayments didn't start until July, so have budgeted £50 for loan repayments as these are not needed I have called HSBC and reduced my overdraft by £50, I will do the same next month too.

I have introduced a friend to my gym and recieved a free MP3 player - this will be ebayed as soon as it arrives through the post

AQA are now accepting applications from the UK so I will be applying to them later on this evening.

I have also sorted out all of my old books and are wondering whether I would get more money by putting them on ebay or amazon - Any advice?
