Theres nothing like the media to get its knickers in a twist over parking issues, especialy if they involve private parking fines and penalties... so to start thing off heres a little story from a local paper...

Supermarket Budgens defends £150 parking fine handed to East Barnet mother-of-two......

Childminder Charmaine Parnaby was handed the hefty penalty when her beautician’s appointment overran and she eclipsed her time in the short stay car park behind Budgens, in East Barnet Road.
Civil Enforcement Ltd is hired by Budgens to monitor the public car park and uses CCTV to catch drivers who stay over their limit.
The 43-year-old, of Russell Lane, admits she was wrong to stay longer than the 60-minute period but believes the fine is excessive.

I've set up a "Google Alert" for any such stories - with the key words "BPA" and "British Parking Association". So if any online news stories pop up with those words, then Google flags them up to me.
