The bpa obviously are looking after the interests of the parking company! Why pay for it then go to the expense and trouble of suing them ? Surely if apcoa had a case they would take it there ? This is like parking companies saying to send full payment into appeal, and if successful its refunded, something that is against the bpa cop , yet here they are practically saying that! Pathetic advice
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

I don't think we've seen this one yet from July, detailing the old 'pop in twice in a day and we'll send you a fake parking ticket saying you were there for hours' trick:

another gem in the local press, this time its the Sunday mercury in Birmingham from the 2nd of September 2012

    http://www.sundaymercury.net/news/midlands-news/2012/09/02/birmingham-car-clamper-i-ll-make-more-money-under-new-laws-66331-31748475/

Birmingham car clamper: I'll make MORE money under new laws

and a few samples form the article...
Walton Wilkins said that the new legislation means he can instead issue motorists with legally enforceable parking tickets worth £150 a time.
    and

“When I first heard about the ban coming in I really thought that would be the end of us – but the replacement system of allowing us to issue tickets will actually make my business even more profitable.”

Instead of hiring private clamping firms, car park owners will now be able to install ticket machines and set their own parking ticket fines. The new law means the ticket will be legally enforceable and carry the same weight as if a traffic warden had issued it.

“Currently, if a private firm issues a motorist with a ticket on private land the driver can choose to ignore it because we have no legal authority to make someone pay it,” explained Mr Wilkins. “In extreme cases we can take someone to a small claims court but it is rarely worth the hassle.

“The Government’s new law will allow private car park owners to set their own penalty charges for tickets – so I’ve set mine at the same level that it would cost as if we had clamped the car instead.”

If he can't get RK details it all falls down for him, and if he does get them , how? its a bit clear as mud on how PPCs will use the appeals if not in the AOS

    Ranger????

Yes but that goes straight into the appeal then, how does a non AOS member get RK details of the vehicle, surely breaking the law has got to be appeal upheld, sod off non AOS member? They can't officially even go to DCA for it as they can't be involved until after the appeal, and again they can't get the info for non AOS members.

Poor Mr Wilkins, thinking that people will pay those pieces of paper on their windscreen.

If he tried court it would be laughed out
