Yet another PPC which hasn't featured on here before. This time it's Spring Parking, which has been in existence for about 18 months.

    It's actually Sprint Parking.

Hello, Sprint. :hello: We look forward to depriving you of as much money as possible.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

springparking.co.uk is registered to a non trading individual, basically they are trying to hide their identity from people looking. A complaint to the bpa and nominet wings it's way to them
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Looking at their website produced this little gem:-
ANPR system has many benfits other then it is non-confrontational, and has the ability to produce various reports such as the average duration of stay per vehcile, vehcile count, repeat visitor and many other reports.

Surely they don't have a system that excludes 1st exit and last entry.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

I notice on their web site, under" appeals and legal",
    they refer to"offences commited"
I wonder what "offences" have been commited.
Have a look at the appeals they say they will not allow, its comical!

That is because the software runs on a computer with Windows ME, it crashes a lot.

Fleets need to reassess parking policies

    http://www.fleetnews.co.uk/news/2012/8/21/fleets-need-to-reassess-parking-policies/44541/?page=1

Mr Watters (AA) said: “This could create a huge administration headache for fleets. I can foresee a huge paper chase taking place where the enforcement company contacts the registered keeper; the registered keeper contacts the driver; but they ignore the letter or perhaps the driver is on holiday; and then the enforcement company starts legal proceedings against the keeper. How can costs be recovered when the driver is still trying to be contacted?”

He added: “The BPA seems clear on its interpretation of the law, but I think it is as clear as mud. Parking companies will, I think, be relentless in trying to get money, but I think some registered keepers will be happy to go to court and see what happens.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • From that fleetnews article this is a classic:

"Currently, if a motorist wants to challenge a parking charge received on private land, they must appeal to the parking company directly and if they still feel that the decision is unfair, they must go to court."

implying that the motorist needs to do something. If the professionals don't get it........

Actually that is not far off. The driver appeals to the ppc, they either reject, accept or take to the appeals service If the ppc wins but the driver does not agree to pay its up to the ppc if they wish to take the driver to small claims court. its just how Fleetnews have worded it makes it confusing.
